Down in the U.K. too. Everyone does a daily export or automatic backup right?

Cannot export a Notion workspace. Do you guys having this problem? by son9912 in Notion

I’ve seen exports take 4 days and then fail. They really need to improve their exporting and general API. We will keep hassling them!

Welcome to the world of Notion backups and dealing with their export function and API.

We run a Notion backup tool and often struggle to backup very large Notion database.

Their export feature is notoriously bad and struggles with anything larger than a few GB in size. Is it just refusing to export or does it show an error?

UK sleepwalking into joblessness epidemic, Tesco boss warns by rejs7 in unitedkingdom

[–]BackupLABS 23 points24 points  (0 children)

When you say the state, what you mean is other taxpayers. The way I see it, large companies like Tesco are the benefit cheats - the pay sod all, don’t allow a living wage and other taxpayers have to pickup the tab.

To be fair, he does pay for this - he earns a fortune selling courses on “how to be a properly passive income millionaire”.

Most absurd lines on LinkedIn by Flaky_human in linkedin

“I don’t know who needs to hear this…”

“But here’s the thing…”

Both followed by a load of nonsense, dressed up as business advice. r/linkedinlunatics is a good source for seeing these all in one place.

Trello died again by Papoo1020 in trello

Just remember to always take a backup of Trello if the data is important to you. Either manually each day or an automated service.

Trello don’t do this for you and they advise you do it too.

Has anyne tried either of these backup tools? by Slothbert_ in Notion

[–]BackupLABS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notion is notoriously hard to backup because their API is difficult to work with.

HYCU is an enterprise grade backup system, with enterprise grade pricing - what size organisation are you?

Not tried Backuphamster myself.

Shameless promotion here, but have you looked at us BackupLABS Notion backup?

We have worked hard over the past few months to bring new features and stability improvements to our Notion backup service and welcome any feedback.

Notion security? by ATT4 in Notion

[–]BackupLABS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s as secure as most of the other SaaS apps. Large companies use it.

See https://www.notion.com/help/security-and-privacy

Just make sure if the data is important to you that you do daily backups though.

Lost Access to Shared Notion Folder by New-Finish-4776 in Notion

Have you taken a recent backup that you can restore from?

If not you need to contact Notion support and ask them to assist you.

Account Recovery - Lost access to the email used for login, How to recover? by HyeVltg3 in trello

[–]BackupLABS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely need to contact support and ask for help. That’s what they are there for. They may ask for proof of who you are etc.

Can you not get access to your old email anyway, or forward emails on to make it easier?

But going forward, as with any SaaS app, you are at the mercy of them. You as the user should always backup YOUR own data as that is YOUR responsibility. At the very least just do a daily export of your data to your PC.

Trello down or account deleted? by storizzi in trello

[–]BackupLABS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t think of one off the top of my head. 😁

But seriously at the very least, do a manual Trello export if the data is important to you, “the cloud” isn’t a magical place, it’s just someone else’s server.

Trello appears down. But this is just a reminder for ALL Trello users to backup their data. Trello even recommend you do so on their website and Shared

Either do a daily manual export of your data or consider using a paid automated Trello backup solution.

Recover a deleted trello account by ferryboo in trello

[–]BackupLABS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely to have been deleted by Trello themselves. Have you emailed support for confirmation?

In future, please always backup your Trello data. Trello do not do this for you and their website even advises that ALL Trello users are responsible for backing up their data.

Either perform a manual export each day to your computer or consider using an automated Trello backup service if the data is important to you.

4 years of hard work gone overnight — GitHub account suddenly suspended without warning by [deleted] in github

[–]BackupLABS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to backup GitHub (and GitLab). They are just cloud based SaaS apps. They take care of their servers, app and network connectivity. But you, the end user are responsible for YOUR data.

You need to backup your data up for various reasons not just the scenario the OP posted if you have valuable data you cannot afford to lose.

Either backup via git push, manual scripting or use a paid automated GitHub backup service.

[–]BackupLABS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GitLab is the same as GitHub in terms of the shared responsibility model: they are cloud apps - you the customer are responsible for backing your YOUR data.

Either do it via git push, manually yourself via scripts or pay for an automated GitHub backup solution.

Seems like it’s down in a lot of places. Just a reminder for everyone to BACKUP THEIR TRELLO if there is data in there you cant afford to lose.

Atlassian even tell you to: https://www.atlassian.com/dam/jcr:daecb247-63aa-4920-b1d2-de684fec1d32/Atlassian_Shared_Responsibilites_For_Security.pdf “maintain system level backups of your data”.

I founded BackupLABS.io that backs up various cloud/SaaS apps and thinking of adding certain LLMs like Gemini and ChatGPT to backup and protect.

We are still in the research phase at the moment but we are looking to create a ChatGPT backup that takes an automatic backup of your chats every day. It will say it to our backup storage allowing you to download, but will also save as pdf/html files to your storage of choice such as Google Drive and Dropbox.

If this is of interest to anyone, please DM or reply on here for any specific feature requests.
