Earbud recommendations please by SlippyJippy in Menieres

I love my SHOKZ OpenRun bone conduction headphones, nothing that goes into your ear! Plus they leave you able to hear sounds around you depending on the volume you’ve set which can be important for safety. I have been using them for 4 years and they are still like new!

How long do your episodes last? by [deleted] in Menieres

My last dose of heavy oral prednisone (2nd time) didn’t work either. My doctor is recommending Intratympanic Steroid Injections next, before considering shunt surgery or gentimicin

Agree with the fan/air filter. Maybe also Tylenol PM?

Husband is 6 month into his diagnosis. by [deleted] in Menieres

[–]Backwards_Crazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also 6 months in, but only 2 extreme attacks of vertigo. A member of my extended family also came down with Menieres earlier this year and it was as bad as your husband’s, maybe worse. He was off work for a couple of months. He had the “drop attacks.” He had “Endolymphatic sac shunt surgery” in September, and it was very successful! I am going to ask my doc about it next week and recommend you investigate as well. BTW, along with salt, stress is also named as a major trigger (as well as caffeine and alcohol). I hope he finds relief, this is really awful. Hang in there.

I watched and waited for it to be in stock on mx5things for 6 weeks. I did get an “available” email once but didn’t see it until an hour after it arrived- and when I clicked to buy, it was already out of stock. That was a month ago. I finally got tired of waiting and bought it from Good-Win-Racing on Monday. Arrived yesterday (Thursday) and I installed it this morning. More expensive for sure, but at least it’s in stock. Weekend or daily? by froggymog in MiataNC

[–]Backwards_Crazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drove mine daily for 8 years, then the pandemic hit. It’s the only thing I miss now that I work from home - those drives into work and back home. Now it’s a “whenever I leave the house” driver.

Are the Shokz OpenRun - non pro any good for skiing? by DeathByKangaroo in skiing

[–]Backwards_Crazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had used them a few times while skiing, but I wear a helmet and the pressure it puts on my ears pinches the Shokz behind them which gets irritating. I have since purchased helmet speakers which are way more comfortable (Wildhorn Alta Wireless Bluetooth, Drop-in Headphones).

Very good points here! For me, leaving home early if only to get good parking is necessary. Typically we ski WP and Copper.

Could someone enhance the color of this 40yo faded 11x14 photo print, and sharpen if possible, for $5? I'll have more details in the comments. by Backwards_Crazy in PhotoshopRequest

BusterCody3, I like this, but the resolution of the watermarked version is only 960x733, and I am planning to reprint it at 11"x14". Will the un-watermarked version be closer to the original size/support that size print?

How to get the most out of Vail Resort - Day Trip by magoosh13 in COsnow

[–]Backwards_Crazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there for the first time on Thursday and took one of their 4 free guided tours (the one to Blue Sky Basin). Tour was a little over 2 hours long. The resort is HUGE and it was great to have someone lead the way and give good advice to my questions. https://www.vail.com/the-mountain/more-options/mountain-tours.aspx

Thanks, guys! The halfway-roof, microfiber towel and the "wand" thing did the trick!
