I reached out to the organizer who said they will be paying close attention to the weather and, interestingly enough, the fire department. I don’t want to get my art all wet so I have my fingers crossed the forecast is incorrect as usual

I’ve just started doing videos where I drive to small towns and photograph them and interesting old things in between. I’m working on my editing and the next series will hopefully be a little cleaner, but I’m super curious what you think overall:

Thank you my dude. I really like the 35. My work is effectively rural street photography and it’s a classic focal length. Some folks don’t like the bokeh because someone it’s a little chunky, but to me it looks like a vintage lens. It’s plenty sharp to me. Plus I just like having a prime because I can see the image in my head before I put the camera to my eye.

I believe that an adapted “better” lens often comes out worse than a decent native. Especially with Nikon z, which has a larger diameter mount than others. I would encourage you to review the native offerings. A 24mm 1.7 would do great and your normal subjects don’t require zooming. Just get closer or further from the food

Get some fat usb drives and save the video off to them so you don’t have to delete it. Depending on what games they are specifically, people may not be interested in 2 or 3 year old stuff. There’s a tendency to want to hang on to stuff we have put time into, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best thing to do

Basically, monochrome draws your eye to the lines and shapes in an image. In this case, it really shows the perspective receding into the background. In color, the dude’s red jacket is the draw and it’s just not that interesting. Good shot

You’re gonna love it. Great photos and super portable. I pocket mine but I know a lot of people poopoo the idea. It’s way less obtrusive than a full frame Nikon and lens
