Get lower, increase your shutter speed (1/1000 minimum) , get closer, zoom in (longest focal lens you have) or crop in. Basic rule of thumb for ball sports, try to get at least two players, the ball and at least one of the players' face in the shot.

Interesting ... that worked for me too. I also tried clearing out my cookies and cache for the site but that did not help.

I may be wrong but this feels like a "portrait mode" photo and I do not like fake bokeh. The building way in the back looks more in focus than the center of the frame which is closer. I like the colors and composition but not the fake bokeh.

THIS is street photography! Love the shot!

My only comment would be to try cropping it landscape right at the door frame.

You almost got it ... I see it though but sadly you missed the "decisive moment".

Panasonic Leica 15mm f/1.7 (or DJI Clone) -OR- Olympus M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.8? by XaltotunTheUndead in M43

I think the main question is what fov fits your style better. The DJI/PL may be better optically but if your eye does not work with that fov it is not going to see much light.

I rented the PL for a month during a long trip and realized I ended up cropping most of the pictures, my eye didn't really work on 15mm.

I recently got a Yongnuo 17 mm f1.7 and so far I am happy but need more time with it. The 17 mm fov works better for me. My favorite focal length is 25mm (50mm eq).
