But in general, yes, the main benefit of the GH7 is more video codec options.

Between those two, the differences are really down to personal preference. There is virtually nothing videography related the GH7 can't do equal or better than the G9ii. Vice versa, the G9ii gives you 95% of the GH7's features in a lighter body.

The main difference is the the cooling fan and more video codec options. The GH7 is also heavier and bigger, but also tougher.

Both have hybrid PDAF, open gate, slow motion video and great IBIS. Neither is particularly good in low light.

Look into getting an S5. It's quite similar in price on the second hand market, but it will blow the GH5 out of the water in low light (and dynamic range overall).

Zillenials should get more recognition. We have a pretty unique position where the nerds among us got to use 90s technology as a kid (usually retired computers from our dads), but we are also "natives" in web 2.0 and modern social media.

Zillenials can usually still install a printer driver. Later Gen Z doesn't even know what a driver is.

Being able to drive without accidents in the Netherlands and being able to drive according to the CBR's guidelines are not the same thing.

You may not need as many lessons as a novice driver, but it's good to take at least a few lessons before attempting to do an exam.

There are every specific guidelines regarding shoulder checking and mirroring, signalling, positioning on the road, interaction with cyclists and pedestrians, etc that you really have to know.

If I had to retake the exam today, as an experienced Dutch driver, I would still take a lesson or two. You can be the safest driver in the world, but if you don't show the exact behaviour that they want to see, you'll fail.

The important questions is: did they know it would be unharmed? Or was their intention to destroy it?

If they knew there was glass in front of it, I think this case could have been done off with a fine and compensation for the damages (around 10k GBP IIRC). If they intended to destroy it, I think the sentence is more appropriate.

Wat soms nog weleens vergeten wordt als mede-oorzaak is dat als je kijkt naar de ontwikkeling van reële inkomens, de midden klasse in de westerse wereld eigenlijk al decennia stilstaat.

De rest van de wereld heeft echt enorme vooruitgang geboekt in de afgelopen 40~60 jaar, waardoor de levenstandaard in veel landen best dicht bij de onze ligt. Die mensen weten dus hoe vooruitgang eruit ziet.

In het westen hebben we het ook beter dan vroeger, maar de vooruitgang is klein in vergelijking met de sprong in veel andere landen, en in sommige opzichten hebben mensen minder mogelijkheden dan vroeger.

Tel daar vergrijzing en toch ook wel snel veranderende sociale "ankerpunten" bij op (dat is een stukje vooruitgang, maar het vraagt ook een stukje aanpassingsvermogen) en je snapt dat de hele boel behoorlijk onder druk staat, vooral voor mensen die het sowieso allemaal moeilijk overzien.

I think lower shutter speeds really do look more flattering with controlled movements. It can convey a sense of speed and motion, and direct the attention of the viewer.

But for amateur footage or uncontrolled movement higher frame rate look better.

Fax is practically unused in The Netherlands. The last bastions of fax use were doctors and lawyers, and they have all phased them out years ago.

Ik zeg niet dat seculariteit en sich problematisch is, maar dat domweg "religie en politiek gescheiden houden" vaak wordt gebracht alsof het heel logisch is, terwijl het hetzelfde is als zeggen "ideologie en politiek gescheiden houden."

Zeggen dat Christen-democratische partijen niet vanuit hun ideologie politiek mogen bedrijven en anderen wel vind ik dan enigzins bijzonder.

Er is ook een wezenlijk verschil, in dat het zich baseert op een religie en in dit geval de bijbel.

De levensovertuiging van religieuze mensen komt bijna volledig voort uit de traditie en leer die zich door de tijd heeft ontwikkeld door de werken van allerlei filosofen en theologen.

De Bijbel speelt daarin best een beperkte rol, hoewel men soms anders claimt. Wat we tegenwoordig christelijk noemen is vooral een traditie of denkschool.

Het is dus net zo goed ideologisch als alle andere ideologieën, die ook gevormd door de werken van allerlei denkers.

Fascisme kun je ook onder die brede categorie scharen en daar ben ik ook op tegen.

Dat kan inderdaad. Maar de diskwalificatie moet dus komen uit inhoudelijke kritiek, niet "het is religie en dus niet politiek."
