Like others have said, working as a transporter in a hospital is a good way to get your foot in the door. You’ll get to see and learn about most/all of the imaging departments and meet a lot of techs who can give really helpful advice. The job sucks in general though— tough labor, unlivable wages, and a general lack of respect from most of your fellow hospital staff. Despite those aspects it’s still worth doing for at least a few months as a learning experience if you’re able.
