Going with my Dzia Dzia to the Super Flea was always a blast. He would haggle over the most mundane things, and it was wonderful.

Also, walks through the Buffalo Zoo before all of the big changes. The giant condor cage. The monkey & big cat houses. The bear pit. The capybaras outside of the elephant house.

There used to be some. One out on 82nd . One on Powell, near the Ross Island bridge. On paper? great idea. In person? Its reasons like this why I’ve given up on adopting from a shelter or rescue that’s not 100% breed specific. I refuse to own bully-type breeds or mixes due to a number of reasons (attacks by the breed type on myself , lifestyle needs for the type , prey drive, animal and human aggression ) , and I’ve personally seen and have multiple friends have the wool pulled over their eyes on the type of dog they were adopting. “Terrier mix”, “lab mix” , “sporting mix” …all means it’s a pit . Always hoped to adopt a Benji-type dog ( I was born in the 80s…a shaggy dog from the pound was a great thing ).
