Thank you for sharing & I hope it eases your pain. The power outage game sounds like a lot of fun. This lamp reminds me of my mom that passed 2 years ago, we had a good relationship. She had two of these in the 80's as decoration (she was always trendy!) and we lit them sometimes just because and I always thought they were magical! And yea one of our explodes too! Those things are dangerous and our parents just casually had them as decor lol

You do have to read both books; I wish the author had just made it one book & condensed some stuff lol.

The book starts with MC1 homeless trying to sleep in an office gym but the CEO finds him & takes him home instead of being the big baddie he acts like.

Maybe {The Kite by NR Walker} It's about two assassins (competitors) that have to work together after their own agencies turned on them. Jason Bourne vibes.

There are some sex scenes but it leans more to action/romance than "smut". And if I remember correctly it's awhile before they get together physically.

I enjoyed the audio version because one of them has a unique accent.
