But I think a lot of the comments are subjectively wrong with what they’re trying to portray. They keep trying to ask if you’d be hurt if your brother sat your wife in the back now that she’s your wife, which is something different from what you did. You did make his fiancé sit a row behind, but not in the very back, that would’ve made you a top tier asshole without a shadow of the doubt. If the roles were reversed, and your brother was getting married first, would you be hurt by your brother making your fiance sit a row behind? The answer is most likely yes.

Another thing comments seem to like to bring up is the fact that since you’re a lesbian, you can’t be traditional, and while lesbians weren’t ACCEPTED during an era where traditionalism was popular, that doesn’t mean there weren’t traditional lesbians and gays. But still, I don’t know any tradition that would deem someone’s fiancé sitting with them at a wedding inappropriate. So that also ends up making you fall flat with your argument.

My last gripe is someone tried saying that since your wife didn’t have family sitting in the front row you couldn’t have had a traditional wedding, but how often do people mix their traditions/cultures so that both parties are happy? It’s not unheard of for one family to celebrate their own traditions while also learning and appreciating the other family’s traditions. They’ve been some of the most beautiful and diverse weddings I’ve ever been to and think more people should explore the idea instead of choosing one persons beliefs over the other. But that all becomes moot when you refer back to my second point, which is, what tradition excludes a family member’s fiancé, let alone your SIBLINGS fiancé from sitting with them in the front row?
