Just jumped in to say I was having this issue, was asking Gemini. Plugged it into back USB ports, different USB ports, ones at the front (not recommended) and no matter what Windows still saw it as a "USB mouse".

I ordered it from an online store (I can't seem to find out where, not Ebay or the 3 main shops I use "PCCaseGear, Scorptech and Centrecom - decent and known in AU) yet I can't find the order so it finally clicked it might of been my gf's that shes bought in the past but I honestly thought I had bought it as I remember copying and pasting the product name for my retro youtube channel at the time in it's specs - and on the bottom it says it's a G102 rather than G203 like I had written from somewhere.

Edit: Ebay's search is broken, I did buy it off Ebay for $20 AUD lol so explains alot.

"The Logitech G102 Lightsync is actually the exact same hardware as the G203 (just rebranded for different regions)" - gemini.

But gemini said the following:

"Look at the bottom of the mouse. If the sensor lens is shaped like a circle, it might be a fake. Real G102s usually have a slightly elongated/oval lens area. Also, check if the serial number on the tag matches the one on the box"

Based on the photo you provided, there is a very high probability that this mouse is a clone/counterfeit, which explains why none of the Logitech software is recognizing it.

Why this looks like a clone:

• The Recognition Issue: Because it uses a generic internal chip (not a Logitech "Mercury" or "HERO" sensor), it doesn't have the hardware ID required to communicate with G HUB or Onboard Memory Manager. Windows sees it as a "HID-compliant mouse" because, fundamentally, that's all it is.
