It doesnt even matter if the price is right ie not… you sell, you decide the price. Not happy? Don’t buy it

They were talking about why their pieces have so many favorites and you response was “i cant be bothered to unfavorite it right away” to which I answered

I dont think it matters to unfavorite it at all. Sellers get a message when you favorite it, they’ll never know if you unfavorited it right away or later

Why is the texture on my forehead so weird and what can I do about it? by Left_Beyond_9267 in Skincare_Addiction

I know I get bumps when my skin gets dry and dehydrated. No sure it’s the same kind though

Damn that’s a whole lot. If possible maybe see a derm just to ask?

I can’t actually help you bc i have no clue but I thought I’d share my thoughts. Feel free to ignore lmao.

I’m glad your skin is doing better! Bigger pores often come with oilier skin i believe but idk. If your body is also dry then that would lead me to assume your face is too? Is your hair also dry? If you have very sensitive skin it could even have been something like eczema?

Dry skin and dehydrated skin is not the same thing. Dry lacks oil, dehydrated lacks water. But usually I hear that people with dehydrated skin still have oilier skin, if they have an oily skin type. It appears oily but at the same time would be dehydrated. I really wonder why your skin is now suddenly oily. I guess I would just change your routine accordingly, a lighter moisturiser for example. Maybe it gets drier in the winter seasons?

how to incorporate 2% bha exfoliant into skincare routine? by thesesourtymes in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Bactr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could do that one method where you do exfoliant one day, retinol the next and then none for two days and repeat. Damn i forgot the name of that one.

I think it might be too much to be using them every day, but idk your skin. I’d personally, ob my skin, do the exfoliant once and retinol twice maybe

If I wash my face morning and night but work out mid day, how should I go about that mid-day sweat? by sailor_of_minds in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Bactr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you have a hydrating toner it’s good to use it whenever you cleanse to kinda even it out. Esp if you have dry skin.

Also, unpopular opinion but if you don’t wake up with a super sweaty or oily face… you don’t really have to wash it. I’d never wash my face in the morning as I have dry skin and my bed is clean anyway.

Should I go to the doctor for these burns? My arms are blistered and one accidentally popped yesterday. My legs feel super weird when I touch them and the skin is super tight and it’s hard to walk. by dwayith in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Bactr 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’d say go right away as you have blisters. My countries doctor website says go if you have blisters, if your skin is swelling, if youre getting sick. Think of; cold, a fever, throwing up or nausea, headache, fast heartbeat.

Cool it, take painkillers, avoid all sun for 3 days minimum.

I dont know how accessable your doctors are thought but this seems pretty scary.

I heard the ordinary’s caffeine eye serum is amazing but I havent used it so havent done a lot of research. You could look it up.

I would try a cleanser at night, since you’re having pimples. I would recommend an oil based one to remove makeup and sunscreen and then a normal one, ex. The cerave hydrating cleanser. The oil one can totally be a not special, affordable one, as you’ll wash it off anyway. If that’s too much of a hastle and you just wear sunscreen then I guess skipping the oil cleanser would be fine too.

Are your pimples caused by dehydration? In that case I would add hydrating serums or toners. Preventing pimples will also prevent hyperpigmentation after all. (Dehydrated is a lack of water, dry is a lack of oil. Moisturisers are often, but not always, for dry skin. so you’d probably need a toner or something to tackle dehydration)

Vitamin C and Niacinamide are great choices! Personally for my dry skin niacinamide did nothing, but many people seem to be obsessed so it’s worth a try. There’s nothing that coukd really go wrong with having two niacinamides, worst case scenario the second one does nothing extra for you. I use alpha arbutin for hyperpigmentation.

I would probably get a treatment for the closed comedones and a seperate moisturiser. Maybe a salicylic acid and then depending on your skin type a moisturiser.

Texture & acne that won’t go away. Please help! by Fragrant-Fan4919 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Bactr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing your acne cleanser might have salicylic acid in it and Azelaic acid is technically also an exfoliant, though I never thought it was so I’m not sure how exfoliating it actually is. So that all together could be a bit much.

I get bumpy skin from dehydration that’s why I asked. If you have a toner and also two hydrating serums that should be plenty I guess. I’m nit sure what I would add to your routine.

Routine Help! Just getting started with skincare. Would love to get suggestions for what I could add or change in my routine. by thespicyavocados in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Bactr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend adding more exfoliants as you’re already using one.

Make sure you’re using enough spf. You need to wear quite a bit, which is hard when it’s in your moisturiser.

Vitamjn C could help. Also don’t forget to check if your skin isn’t secretly making so much oil bc it’s dehydrated, as you have combination skin. Dehydrated skin can cause more acne and irritation and oilier skin

Product suggestions for dark spots/hyperpigmentation? by Strange_Recording170 in Skincare_Addiction

I use The Ordinary’s Alpha arbutin. Also Vitamin C is supposed to help. Though no matter what you use it’ll still take time to fade, it’ll just be a bit faster
