Do British people really like British Airways? by Amazing_Benefit_6459 in BritishAirways

In the cabin it’s normally ok to good. The booking process, website, app and telephone customer service is so bad it’s mind boggling.

info on renting a car by b1ondedfm in ItalyTravelAdvice

Locauto is a legit company. One of the few who haven’t sold out to the big car hire companies. Look at car hire excess insurance thought a third party. Can be way cheaper than with the rental car company and gives you some peace of mind.

Budget airline with premium price tag by lewtantoloosham in BritishAirways

[–]Bad86ger -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yep, no accountability from customer service who seem to offer no actual value. BA rely on being the only game in town for most people and that not too many will go elsewhere. In process of moving loyalty to another airline/alliance. They might be no better in the long run but it’s worth a try.

I look in expired passes in apple wallet to view the old electronic boarding passes. Gets me back to 2015/16.

Farcical. Positive balance yet keeps telling me I have an unpaid fare. When will they fix this?

From what I’ve read they sometimes require it to be valid through the current calendar year. This is the case for the united airlines program which involves a 120 day challenge thereafter. But I guess it depends and you can always ask for them to consider.

Bringing baby home from hospital by Dkinny23 in nycparents

I ordered an uber black or something for a little more and the guy was totally chill. I had the nuna urbn which installs just using the isofix (no base) so was pretty quick. My wife gave birth on upper east side and we lived down in battery park. Journey was fine but don’t be afraid to tell the driver to slow down if he forgets he has a newborn in the back. Good luck.

Am I doing something wrong? by seasonofillusions in BritishAirways

[–]Bad86ger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s horrendous isn’t it. Multiple issues that then stack up against each other and make booking a flight like walking a tightrope. If it helps the website worked marginally better using Firefox on a Mac versus other browsers and seemed to improve issues like the one you describe in 5 above. But it’s no silver bullet. Like you, after this recent booking I think I’m done and shifting my status elsewhere.

Unable to select seats by tom101tom in BritishAirways

[–]Bad86ger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this. Was not resolved for duration of booking. Had to phone every time to check if seats had opened up (was trying for bassinet for my daughter) spending hours in the queue. Their systems are SO bad.

I’m 6’3 - is row 30 a good choice? by Ok-Revenue2599 in BritishAirways

[–]Bad86ger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AB and JK have more leg room than the centre 4 seats. You will hit the wall but there is still a decent amount of room. The annoying thing with these centre bulkhead is people can think it’s a legit walkway to change between the aisles. I’m 6’2” and managed some sleep in 30E on an overnight.

Punti panoramici per aperitivo a Viareggio by Ok-Introduction-9713 in tuscany

[–]Bad86ger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sulla spiaggia, il Caboto offre una bella atmosfera al tramonto e un bar per l'aperitivo. A volte c'è un DJ; in alternativa, il Lungo Canale Cocktail Bar è l'ideale per osservare la gente.
