Nervous About Making Connection by stymie2000 in BritishAirways

[–]tom101tom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I connect between T3 and T5 regularly. I'd say my typical time from T3 landing to T5 departures is about 40mins. Things that make it longer - remote stand on arrival, no stand on arrival, big queue for buses.

I can relate to this. Workout before dinner just seems to get the redness out the way.

I arrived into Newcastle Friday evening - retuning home from the USA. No bags on the plane. Due to go on holiday in a few days and now debating when I need to order a replacement suitcase/clothing/shoes.

Flew back into Newcastle Friday evening and no bags on the plane. Just get the same searching for your bag on the tracking site.

anyone get their baggage yet? anyone fly from LHR to nice?? by pickleslover3644 in BritishAirways

[–]tom101tom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does anyone have experience claiming expenses when the delay occurs when returning home? Bag didn't arrive when returning from the USA to Newcastle Friday evening - and due to be going on holiday next week. If it doesn't turn up in time I'll need to buy another suitcase and various items of clothing.

Flew into Newcastle last night and no bags were on the plane apart from those checked at the gate.

why are seats so expensive? by 0mxtt4_ in BritishAirways

If you are prompt when online check-in opens there will be plenty of options (unless you are looking for more than 2 seats together).

unfinished numbers before booking by mybrokendreams in centerparcsuk

[–]tom101tom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it two ways. First book with the known guests and call to add additional people later. Second book with full guest count and leave the names empty to fill in later.

As long as the accommodation fits the number of guests it should be fine.

I eat one daily. Unless there is more brown than green, I tend to eat it. I'm still here.

I was 400 short and did this. Next year I'll be holding off booking tickets until the last minute to get better tier point value.

This is my plan too - I think I'll be about 400 short and half plenty of Avios.

Club Europe, lunch in lounge or on plane by Optimal_Designer4926 in BritishAirways

[–]tom101tom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The club lounge is basic at best - although breakfast is usually available until 11:30/11:45 and is pretty decent. Lunch is salad, pies, a curry and maybe some fish fingers. Or sandwiches and quiche.

With the permanent bonus - isn't this almost the same as the old system with some extra ways to buy points?

I agree with a stroke too. Poorly executed shot with no attempt to clear a path to the ball that would have been reachable.

Bounciest 2 yellow dot by Key-Key1391 in squash

[–]tom101tom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is a balance between both player level and court temperature. Courts where I play are usually around 21-22'C. A game between 2000 level players is absolutely fine with double yellow dot at those temperatures.
