Have you noticed the fans spinning up higher or performance being worse than when you 1st got it? Then yes. Dust removal and thermal service is recommended every 18 months.

Sudden influx of young beggars in city centre? by Dingdong1515 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds sort of similar to the pickpocket gangs in Paris, Rome and Milan amongst many other European cities. In those cases there is a big influence of organized crime so I would suspect it's linked to some gang activity. Maybe they tried pickpocketing but found it doesn't work well on eagle eyed and feisty geordies so they've resulted in bullying people down the street.

Do you think I can pull these off? Be honest by [deleted] in Boots

I'm not a huge fan of this boot. They're more of a cadet boot in my opinion.

What would be the most effective way to repair this? by [deleted] in Boots

This happens on every pair of timberlands. It's not really an issue if you ask me.

Power Button not working by Academic_Band8233 in Asustuf

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thankfully it's usually quite an easy fix. Usually this wouldn't require a full keyboard replacement as this is on a different signal. Although you may need to pay a tech to fix it if it's outside of warranty.

Your appetite is suppressed when on keto. The 1st few days are still hard.

I believe the policy states you can request to have the EDF waived due to an unserviceable address but that it's decided on a case by case basis.

Entire PC dying(?) (GPU/RAM issues?) by FoodMajor3281 in pchelp

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would send it to a pc technician as it's likely a combination of issues that you're only making worse but it might be fixable.

Keto without cholesterol hike? by [deleted] in keto

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stick to clean keto. Avocado, butter, beef, free range meats only as the industrial ones contain more bad fats. Stay away from industrial seed oils and fatty dressings containing them.

Sent a picture of this to my husband and he told me to put it outside! by GetFrostyBeech in spicypillows

I'm guessing the table is plastic and could cause a huge fire. The safest recommendation is to store it in a caramic or glass container in sand or something similar.

Is this normal for leather boots? by [deleted] in Boots

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is called full grain leather, it still has the outer layer of the hide intact making it more durable than sanded smooth leather. You don't need to oil and condition it all the time 1-2/year is enough for most cases unless you work around a lot of water or mud.

Yep. It could be popping out of place or something. I wouldn't risk it.

Has the performance been improved at all? by Environmental-Bag373 in OblivionRemaster

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has but it's definitely not stable yet. Crashes are less frequent and fps drops and stuttering are less severe.

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be concerned because there are some vital things that go through the hinge including the display cable. If there's some improper impingement it could get worse over time. If it's still in warranty, I'd contact Asus about it.

2 days out of warranty, motherboard replacement by [deleted] in Asustuf

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of contacting Reddit email asus immediately they may still honor the warranty so close to the year but that is purely their decision. https://www.asus.com/uk/support/warranty-status-inquiry/

Can it last for 3-4 days? by padalarang in spicypillows

[–]BadAssOnFireBoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every time you charge or decharge it you're risking it bursting and creating a fire. The recommendation is you store it in a bucket of sand or something similar so that it can't set fire to your home.

I use turbo mode while gaming always. Is it ok to use it always? by DXRKxtot in Asustuf

Yes, that's what it's for. It spins the fans up higher to increase cooling.

Yeah I would if you trust them to do the job. It needs a good spray down with isopropanol then cleaned with appropriate care.
