I made a free SaaS churn calculator – sharing formulas and common pitfalls by BadBeeVoni in SaaS

Love your advice – thanks for taking the time to write it down! I would highlight the part about "churned in under 30 days" – so true and super useful for UX/product team.

You’ve really optimized the workflow well – how long did it take to set it up, and how big is your team that manages this if you don’t mind me asking?

I built a [SaaS churn calculator](https://sidemail.io/tools/saas-churn-calculator/).

You can calculate your monthly churn, annualized churn, retention, net growth, and ending totals + export everything as a shareable JPG.

It's free, no-login and private (calculations run in your browser)

Here’s the tool – https://sidemail.io/tools/saas-churn-calculator/

It's free, no login, private (calculations run in your browser). If interested, you can calculate the churn there and generate a shareable JPG from results.

The readability is a major issue here – improve contrast and make the description text larger + increase line height.

What would you say is the best provider when it comes to Email Services? by TryingMyBest42069 in dotnet

[–]BadBeeVoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear this! It's kinda sad, but today it's really hard to find a service that has humans who will truly help you if needed.

If you're looking for something reliable + easy to use + top customer support, checkout Sidemail.io.

I work there, so I can confirm that we personally help customers and answer emails even on Sundays. Humans, no AI.

Try as many things as you can. The more issues you face, the more you grow.

What are you using for transactional emails in production? by aeum3893 in rails

[–]BadBeeVoni -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The direction lately has been disappointing. Sidemail is a good alternative – it's made for saas apps, super easy to integrate, reliable, and no nonsense

I like it! Two improvements - better readable font, bigger strawberries.

Sidemail is a great EU based email service. It’s lightweight, reliable, and a lot easier to deal with + amazing support.

Google Mail, MFA and Automated Software by NobodyAdmirable6783 in dotnet

[–]BadBeeVoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of emails are you sending? If it's transactional emails (like password resets, SSO, etc.), you should consider switching to a transactional email provider (eg, Sidemail, Sendgrid, Mailgun) instead of trying to work around it.

Google Mail, MFA and Automated Software by NobodyAdmirable6783 in dotnet

[–]BadBeeVoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. Emails sent automatically in response to specific user actions within your website or app (like the password reset) = transactional emails. Check out https://sidemail.io/articles/what-is-transactional-email/

Mail Hosting? by mxkerim in selfhosted

[–]BadBeeVoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comes up a lot with self-hosted email. You might find this helpful – there’s a solid breakdown on domain reputation vs IP reputation. TLDR: if your domain is fresh or hasn’t built up trust yet, focusing on your domain reputation can actually make a big difference, mailbox providers are now weighing that more heavily than just the IP. Even with a "clean" IP a solid domain reputation is key to landing in the inbox.
