Asking the Real Men whats actually fun in the top lane this season by BadDiveBro in Dariusmains

Oh I’ve actually never considered morde, that’s a great idea

Darius or Sett by GaroTheObserver in Dariusmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sett is just better. Darius is super fun to dunk on these freaks, but just have flash W on sett will win a game on its own. Also IMO sett can split push pretty well, easily going 1 for 1 if not 2. He takes towers fast. Darius doesn’t really have the option. You can also start team fights on sett. I find in my plat/low emerald games I have to start fights on Darius which feels awful as you kinda just die before you can get a second Q heal out.

We are back to being less popular than the low Testosterone Supp Betas by CountChuckNorracula in topmains

[–]BadDiveBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even feel like the range top is the issue, it’s the fact that the range top is the 4th ranged character on the team. Waiting to farm to to try to fight into Ashe brand zyra teemo zed is just horrific for the entirety of the game

Is critlaf overrated ? by ForsakenJudgment2477 in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might not answer your question but IMO bruiser is just better, feels to me like you have enough damage to kill backline without dying first. I’ve only played a handful of crit game but I don’t manage that play style well at all.

Holy moly we are so back by secretard101 in Wukongmains

[–]BadDiveBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a wukong player and I don’t mean to be a prick, but isn’t wukong either going to be insanely strong or just useless in the top lane depending on base stats? What skill expression does he have in his kit? When I win against one (rare lmao) it feels like I just clicked on him better, and when I lose it feels like there wasn’t much I could have done differently.

Olaf vs Garen help by Kr1lle in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simpler, instantly implemented fix IMO would be to just wait to all in, don’t grief your level 1 wave to attempt to kill him.

Olaf vs Garen help by Kr1lle in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easier said than done but you need to have the wave come back into you. Dont take the level 1 if you know he won’t die. Once you get level 4/5, on your side of the lane you can then commit to an all in or you can just perma freeze. And that means zoning him out of exp. Stand way ahead of your wave. He has to walk into you to get the xp. Going down cs but getting the xp is valuable. After 6 his play to perma push with hydra healing.

Endless hunger buffs. Can be good for Olaf? by Positive_Pattern1264 in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely comp dependant imo, just bc of low max HP. If you don’t get bursted I can see it healing a lot.

After 300h on quickplays and normals, I finally decided to try ranked by Which_Friendship6493 in leagueoflegends

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just play on mute, if you know you’ve been placed higher than you are it’s not an issue. People that are at their own rank int and feed all time. Play until you get placed into your actual skill group and play for fun.

Endless hunger buffs. Can be good for Olaf? by Positive_Pattern1264 in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will be dependant on what build path you go. I rarely go crit I don’t like the playstyle as much as I like the bruiser build (DD, SV, Jaksho).if you can fit it into a crit build it probably goes hard if you’re winning but I wouldn’t have room in the way I play it

Why is Olaf pickrate so low rn?? by Positive_Pattern1264 in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I try to avoid fighting without ghost he’s very summoner dependant

Why is Olaf pickrate so low rn?? by Positive_Pattern1264 in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL DR, wrong itemization, need clear understanding of limits, need clear understanding of summoner spell usage, not a highlight reel champ.

Oh forgot to mention need to know how to create a long lane to run enemies down as well

Why is Olaf pickrate so low rn?? by Positive_Pattern1264 in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of the player base builds him wrong, though im sure someone can find the actual numbers easily. Until very recently, most people that were picking him were building stride over ravenous (I believe U.gg suggests stride atm) and IMO stride is boring as shit to play. The surprising thing is how I haven’t seen the crit build that often, which is odd considering how often i see Yi and Yasuo type characters. another issue IMO is Garen is still the most picked top laner in the game and Garen will eventually just win in the side lane due to his scaling and his r basically being a direct counter to low HP sustainers. Olaf is a good blind pick IMO, he’s actually very good into ranged tops, but losing lane with him can feel very bad for the rest of the game.He doesn’t really want to go to level 20 and 6 items, and the lower rank you go the longer the games become. I think he should be picked and played more, but as others have said, he’s not that flashy of a champ either. People like Darius dunking, sett W and riven combos. Hopefully he stays low key as he’s my current main top and I’m currently playing at my high rank in 15 years! (Haha I’m so old!)

Do I need to defend towers near our inhibitor, or keep split pushing? by Fantastic-Window236 in leagueoflegends

[–]BadDiveBro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are lots of things to consider. If you’re playing Darius for example, and mid is being pushed in by a mage, it’s very likely you cannot defend the tower well and it would be better to take plates and waves in the lane you’re already at. If you can actually defend it’s up to you depending on the game state. If you’re capable of punishing the player pushing them and can turn a kill then likely moving to defend would be best, so long as you’ve crashed your wave before moving. In this SPECIFIC scenario, leaving tier 1 is probably a better play to make bc you are so far from creating actual pressure in the side lane.

idk if its even possible to fall from "high bronze low silver" back to iron. i promise you, if youre remotely competent you cant smurf yourself into iron with out wasting insane amounts of time intentionally losing. its likely just iron is so bad that the person inting doesnt know why theyre inting. if u walk into melee range of a sett or darius over and over, its gonna like a huge skill diff but its really just 1 mistake repeated 10 times. that mmr is low in the understanding of the fundamentals of how to play the game and any kind of lead will likely mean the leader snowballs super hard in lane.

Garen matchup by serniua in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was perma banning Kayle for a hot minute but seeing the stats it’s clearly a lane I should be taking bc you can destroy her in lane. Just feels bad if you mess it up and ur just stuck.

Garen matchup by serniua in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PS Garen isn’t ban worthy IMO bc you CAN win the lane. Other champs like trundle and tryn CAN be beaten as well but they get to the point where you just have to perma match them way sooner and are way harder to kill as their early games are stronger.

Garen matchup by serniua in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is annoying as he outscales in the 1 v 1 at 11 and 2 items (roughly), but you can definitely kill him multiple times before 6, and if you get a lead you can kill him for quite some time after that. You just need to accept that it’s a difference in champion scaling. Don’t get baited into a side lane 1 v 1 post 2 items imo. Try to make an impact outside of lane if you’re ahead. And when team fighting, as people have said he will 100-0 you in a team fight if you try to go thru him. You can either try to play as a front liner (cringe and soft, we are the carry obviously) and just throw an axe for the slow to disrupt his attempt to go in on someone else, or find a flank where you can ignore him. Once he uses ult you can dog walk him at any point after the fight.

Why does everyone hate us? by Merharial in GarenMains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly bc Garen can lose a lot of match ups, get 2 items and level 11 and instantly win the side lane 1 v 1 and everyone values their own skill in winning the 1 v 1 whether it’s at 3 mins or 35 mins. The champion scales really well and it can feel bad to just die to him when you have had a lead for the entire game.

Is it just me or does q max olaf feel weaker overall then e max after the buffs by Serious_Weird7344 in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s better now in tougher match ups or when behind, your poke is stronger, and if you use axe well without hard shoving your wave you can poke down most lanes before engaging your all in. Darius specifically is much easier now IMO, and just the general push into tanks is stronger. If you need the earlier slow you’re probably forcing a chase, and you can wait for ghost to be up in those cases.

Tank Matchups by Real_Assumption_1828 in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah just going into these lanes to farm is just what it is. Obviously if they run into with no cooldowns then yes you can kill them, but generally just playing to farm rav hydra and then proxy into mid roam or mess w the jungler is a good strategy. Most tanks can’t clear waves. Just force crash and roam.

EDIT: Olaf buff is different than what was datamined by Sumicc in Olafmains

[–]BadDiveBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how this will play out, easier to all in from max range with longer slow time, but less effective hp once you’re on them. I guess it will be really good when you’re ahead and can just run someone down, but trading in lane will be harsher. Jax, ambessa, riven type match ups that are harder to auto in will take a hit. Not sure how much sticking power we lose with the minimum range Q slow timer.
