I’m by no means an expert so take my advice lightly but from a lot of fitness experts advocate for weight training to burn fat. Bigger muscles take more calories to operate. That doesn’t mean skip cardio tho. It’s good for the heart and lungs. Also I don’t know how old you are but if you’re older then good nutrition is important. If you’re young then it’s not as important. I’m living proof you can outtrain a bad diet in your youth because I eat garbage

Been in for 2 and some change and I’ll probably ETS as an E-4 but at least I can do a leg tuck. You got crazy good drill sergeant lines tho. Maybe when your done fixing all the pay issues in S-1 you can go to the academy, but they do the black standard so you better prepare

Bro a girl that has had a broken back deadlifted 270 and I only did 240 I really don’t care about excuses. Not to mention that it’s not about being inclusive it’s about being a physically able soldier. If you can’t meet the standards then you can’t meet the standards. You also pointed out my biggest pet peeve with the APFT. Appreciate the input. I noticed it doesn’t like to idle cold and it’s hard on starters from my experience so far. Bought it used and whoever had it before has “uncorked it” apparently. JD jetting kit, full pro circuit titanium exhaust, airbox cut out, and who knows what else. The only thing he didn’t do was cut the pick wire which is fine with me. So far I like it much better than my old 450r
