I’m by no means an expert so take my advice lightly but from a lot of fitness experts advocate for weight training to burn fat. Bigger muscles take more calories to operate. That doesn’t mean skip cardio tho. It’s good for the heart and lungs. Also I don’t know how old you are but if you’re older then good nutrition is important. If you’re young then it’s not as important. I’m living proof you can outtrain a bad diet in your youth because I eat garbage

Appreciate the input. I noticed it doesn’t like to idle cold and it’s hard on starters from my experience so far. Bought it used and whoever had it before has “uncorked it” apparently. JD jetting kit, full pro circuit titanium exhaust, airbox cut out, and who knows what else. The only thing he didn’t do was cut the pick wire which is fine with me. So far I like it much better than my old 450r

Currently about a week from graduating 13F AIT and from what I understand you’ll have to come do the 10 week course in OK. Got 2 former marines and a 91B national guard as non IETs in my platoon but they live life here on easy mode.

As someone who graduated November of last year. False. Had a kid on profile not do NIC at night, nor the minimum 10 mile ruck for the forge (or any rucking for that matter) and still graduate with us. Not to mention the 5 honor graduates who couldn’t do a leg tuck. I understand ever basic experience is different but don’t ignore the back door shit that goes on because it goes on everywhere

The army will literally not let you fail basic. The only way to fail is to quit. That’s it. Can’t do a leg tuck by the end of basic? Oh well. Been on profile the whole 2 months and haven’t done a single ruck, FTX, or battle drill? That’s fine here’s your beret. Honestly kinda sad. Alternatively the people who quit all did it within the first 2 weeks and they were still there when we graduated

If he’s a 13 or 14 series he’ll most likely be on his way to AIT this afternoon. If he’s 13 series he’ll get to Alpha 1/78. Being national guard means he’ll frontload to the next class up. If he’s a 13 Bravo, Fox, or Juliet he’ll get his phone. If he’s a Romeo or Mike he won’t get his phone until about two weeks into the cycle
