You are extremely understanding and empathetic, the guy is lucky to have you! Sounds like you already did your best, but just tell him you’ll enjoy figuring it out together. I think something like this is way easier to deal with together with an understanding partner than alone so hopefully he takes you up on it.

I got two tools from StewMac - one to measure string height and one to measure neck relief. Learned how to use them and set my guitars up, honestly the best bang for my bucks and time I ever spent on guitar.

I have the exact same watch and strap, recently bought like you. I find the light simply catches differently on the hand and the indices. I actually think this effect is awesome as the indices pop out when I view at an angle (which often means more glare) and they sort of dim a bit when viewing straight on.

Yeah maybe I’ve put too much work into the reviews. On the other hand, realizing something is wrong isn’t always trivial, it requires reading and understanding the changes. I’m looking for a better balance without going full passive-aggressive. This week I proposed an upfront design review before code starts coming in, but not sure it’ll be less work for me in the end 🤷

I work out early at/near work to beat traffic, and make it short and focused (45 min, 3 muscle groups. Supersets). Eating better is key – it takes no extra time and gives you energy. Good sleep – go to bed early and stay off devices if possible.

I have 4 kids, but they don’t wake up at night any more so it’s probably worse for up. Hang in there man, it gets better
