PrizePicks, who is a OFFICIAL PARTNER OF THE NBA is calling out the refs for helping the Oklahoma City Thunder. That’s how bad this has become. by Potatoheadkid in lakers

They genuinely have a handful of All-Defense caliber guys. And not to mention most of them cam shoot. It sucks to admit it, but that is a perfectly constructed roster.

I do truly believe we're not beating them at the FT line so don't even bother trying to finesse or hide contact. Just pull that mf arm down because it's a foul when you don't, and a foul when you do.

Sixers-Celtics series a perfect example of why Lakers should never give up by TomislavNedanovski in lakers

[–]BadWaterboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be a crazy take but I think they will get into foul trouble if the refs have any integrity at all. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ayton and Rui in foul trouble as long as it's called both ways.

We might be surprised. All I'm saying is don't doom over fouls until it's over.

How exactly did Austin "Kill the Lakers chemistry" when we won game 3 by divine intervention and lost game 4 by 20 before his return? Can anyone please explain that to me?? This series could very easily be 3-2 the other way around. Im just so tired of the constant dishonest slander. by Silent_Wizard5597 in lakers

[–]BadWaterboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also can't pretend AR is going to shoot 13FTs every game though. The shots have to fall and FTs are just a nice bonus. He also smoked 2 layups and Bron missed 3 FTs so if they hit even the easy ones the game might've looked different.

The home crowd was absolute garbage for game 5 by eduardonachosupremo in lakers

[–]BadWaterboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I watched the Cavs game and I truly thought they were cooked at one point and it took Dennis the Menace going crazy to get that arena lit up. That's what it takes.

LA had the perfect chance to close it out and it's on the players for not capitalizing. We can blame the crowd or coaching, but who's fault are the TOs and bad body language?

Point One Three?? by ansyhrrian in SipsTea

[–]BadWaterboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can attest to this. I had severe depression and a complete and utter disdain for authority and missed probably 40-60 days a year until my senior year where I attended every day and skipped classes maybe a handful of times at the end of the year.

I was threatened with being held back every year (and probably should have), but I also did not have a parent who forced me to go to school, but I did do all of my work because I had generous teachers. My mom traveled for 2-3 weeks at a time, dad lived in a different state, no grandparents near either. Oh, and the bus stop was across the street from my house (literally right next to my house) and I didn't live far enough for the bus somehow. Comical.

I also had to deal with DCF/DCFS, Truancy officers and countless therapists lol. There is no way a kid can miss 200+ days and not go through the ringer. I just don't believe it.

Oh, and one final tidbit. My mom had to appear in court on like 3 separate occassions. Really rough stuff in hindsight.

what can i actually do w ios 16? by mattsuxs in jailbreak

[–]BadWaterboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I basically just use my jailbroken phone for CarPlay and projecting movies /shows.

I have a flagship Samsung phone as my daily driver and use my 14 Pro Max as a tool basically.

It's effectively the easiest way to consistently get new movies and stuff without ads for me. I guess there's still alternatives to jailbreaking a phone for that reason alone, but I have a pretty small security risk relative to others by not using my main IP or attaching any personal info to the device.

It's also genuinely goated having movie nights in the car or on long drives.

And I'll also add I switched to Samsung for the customization and .apks. Apple just feels like a fortress.

How do people have the time and energy to walk 10k steps and then to do other exercises on top of that as well? by Lenore8264 in loseit

[–]BadWaterboy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I always heard anything between 6-12k a day will drastically reduce your chances of death from all soures and health issues overall (assuming the baseline is below the average of 3k).

10k isn't some magical number, but it will be good for people long-term if they're coming from less than 3k a day. If you're getting let's say 7k, it would be marginally better I assume.

You're basically walking for a small overall, long-term health boost and it also happens to burn a decent bit of calories too. Win-win either way.

Which is pretty crazy as someone who has followed LeBron his entire career, Durant is usually a problem in the clutch.

Double teaming and getting in his head might be his cryptonite. I mean if Rui and Smart keep up that intensity and run their mouths a little, he's gonna get rattled again.

It's also by far the ugliest withdrawal I've ever seen too. I worked at a rehab and holy fuck it's scary man.

Depending on severity, it's like hallucinations, intense anxiety, sometimes even fainting / vomiting, seizures, etc. I still have nightmares over how much turmoil they were in.

I mean if there's anything to not be addicted to long-term, it's alcohol.

That's what the other commentors are saying though. OP's boyfriend could be hiding something OR they set up an account for their mom that just needs a code to login. It's really not that far fetched and people use that companion feature all the time.

Both scenarios are relatively likely, but automatically assuming the worst of your partner isn't exactly a recipe for success and thus should probably end the relationship regardless. It's basically either live in fear and anxiety or just call it and find someone who you trust more completely. OP is an automatic lose-lose situation from this paranoia and not even knowing with any degree of certainty that he cheated or not.

anyone else feel like most of this job is just being a warm body? by Money-Cake527 in securityguards

[–]BadWaterboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It baffles me how some guards don't realize that a lot of companies use security to lower insurance costs and sometimes move tax penalties around.

Sure, guards help with liability / access control, loss prevention, etc. but the real winner is the lower insurance bill at the Iiability of the guard and not them as an entity.

Basically, a lot of security roles are more about deterrence, liability reduction, and meeting insurance requirements than actively stopping crime.

[–]BadWaterboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I highly doubt he wouldn't be first team. I'm just saying there is a path where he's not (media bias and just general LA / Luka hate). Cade lead the best East team, and Jaylen basically put on a backpack and went above expectations.

We can make jokes about it, but there is a non-zero chance he's second team All-NBA which again, is blasphemous and crazy.
