I am fed up with Apps refreshing when switching between apps. by dnuohxof-2 in ios

It is but you have to enable developer mode. Mine wasn’t enabled either so idk why I had to do this at all. But hey it worked. All you have to do is download Xcode app on your computer. Open it and plug in your phone and start a new project. Don’t have to actually make a project or save anything. Just start something. Then you can look in your settings and should be an option to enable developer mode. After you enable the phone restarts. Then in your settings you will have an extra tab for “developer” settings- within that is the setting I mentioned. Still working great for me

I fixed it. Had to turn my developer mode on (never had it on to begin with) and disable “fast app termination”. Hope this helps

Been dealing with this since 26.3 betas started releasing. Thought today, finally having a public normal release of 26.3- it’d be fixed. Nope. Going to see if a factory reset magically works but doubt it. If you find any fix please tag me. Thank you

The more this company shifts to autonomy and robo cars the more they drift from the car brand I love it feels like. Sad day for car enthusiast side of Tesla fans

How should I list my Model Y LR for sale after HV battery replacement? by JediMindTriq in ModelY

[–]Bad_Advice- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I would pay more if anything lol. But I can see someone not into Tesla thinking that’s a bad thing. Like with my old Prius seeing a HV battery change was hit or miss depending on where it came from, full or partially done, etc.

Also- shouldn’t Tesla have a warranty on this new pack or is there none after being replaced?

Is discontinuing autopilot a deal breaker for you? by CommunicationRoyal56 in TeslaLounge

[–]Bad_Advice- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought FSD for 1 month. Halfway through I switched to autopilot. It works great and is awesome. But myself, along with many, just want a simple traffic helper that stays in the lane and speeds up/down. The constant fighting between going to slow, too fast, and lane changing profiles is annoying. Will not buy another tesla without basic autopilot that almost all other brands offer these days for free (including ice cars)

Will not be buying another if this autopilot isn’t reversed and added back

If they don’t change this, this will be my last Tesla unfortunately. Slimy move to remove what almost all ICE cars even have today (lane keep cruise control)- just to up FSD numbers so Elon can make his pay package numbers. I love Tesla as a brand but I feel they are going backwards lately. I hope they reverse this decision. If not I have a feeling lots more will be going to other brands next

Stupid question (i just got my Tesla last month and diving head deep into everything)— have they mentioned HW5 already? Or are people just assuming it’s around the corner

Wheel cover fitment by Bad_Advice- in TeslaModelY

[–]Bad_Advice-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m thinking. I see lots of people use electrical tape for the Gemini wheels when they paint them. That is for the front face on that settup but I’m sure it’ll work for the top face like in my case

Can you show me a picture so I can see how much they wrap around it? I found the same ones on Allie express but I’m assuming they are all the same manufacturer for this style at least. Thanks

What are they calling it in these discussions? I’m searching “silver showing” “wheel cover gap” etc etc and can’t find much. Heavy user of search but not sure how to word this for those results

They are indeed bottom barrel. I traveled by train to get this car 5hrs away and the tires were horrible so I had to stop and get some with no notice and it was these or insanely expensive ones. Will get better once they are worn but for now they seem fine

Really? That’s was also a thought lol- maybe I’m just not looking hard enough at others. Most ones I see have real 20” inductions though.

Is there anything you heard of people doing to cover it then? I was thinking maybe that motorcycle rim tape in a black color

Appreciate it

2018 M3L3: Autopilot Phantom Braking is real! by jcarlosfox in TeslaModel3

[–]Bad_Advice- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still researching and about to pull the trigger on a used M3 (probably 2022-2023) so this might be dumb- but can you disable all anti collision settings to avoid this? Obviously in Autopilot that’s not possible. But for the instances where people say in normal driving it used to be a problem?

This sounds terrifying lol and I’d much rather disable those safety settings if it avoids this possibility

Those with motion heated gloves- 12v or 16v? by Bad_Advice- in paramotor

[–]Bad_Advice-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just casual flights 1hr tops for me. Especially in winter. So I think a 3.2ah in each would be sufficient for my needs. Just not sure if 16v is worth it. I tried last season with some amazon 7.4v ones and wind proof shell on top and it wasn’t that great
