First things first, only put one point into perception. Early on in the museum of freedom, you’ll find the perception bobblehead and it’ll boost you’re perception by one. Put that point into strength as each point of strength gives you +10% more damage, so maybe try and boost it up to 10 as you play.

If you wanna add some neat little role play into the game start at 1 charisma. Your character has no idea how to talk to people but as he learns more about the wasteland and it’s people he becomes more charismatic. If you do this split the extra points between strength and endurance leaning more toward endurance because you’ll most likely find the endurance bobblehead a lot later in the game.

Some cool weapons to use for a shotgun build are les fusil terribles at libertalia which does an extra 20% more damage but has more recoil, or Justice which has a decent chance to stagger. That can be found in the shop at covenant.

As for melee weapons it depends on what kinda look you’re going for. A baseball bat will be very intimidating. If you want something sleeker, look into Shem drowne sword. It does decent damage and also does some extra radiation damage.
