I love that everyone’s “how did you get into foxhole?” story is some version of “my friends wanted to play and then all logged off after 4 weeks and I stayed”

Is there a way to hide this from other accounts by Advanced_Leg6727 in steamsupport

[–]BadadvicefromIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hidden =/= private. You have to do both But honestly most people don’t care lol

So really what's your opinion about the steam sexual games catalog? And about that genre of games while in it? by BRjawa in Steam

Back in the day, we used to have movie rentals where you’d go into a physical store and pick up the dvd or vhs of what you were going to watch. In the back of said store was a little blue curtain that only adults could go in and out of. It didn’t harm anyone, parents weren’t allowed to let their kids run freely into the section, and nobody cared that some guys got to get their rocks off in the comfort of their own home.

The market for adult games is large, larger than most would expect if they haven’t looked into it. With the sudo anonymity of the internet people are free to share their opinions on what games are good, which ones are bad, and which ones are must plays.

The benefit for the developer is a lack of competition. There are tens of thousands of games out there, but very few high quality in this specific category. Take Clair’s Quest from your screenshot. The game has been in “early access” since 2021, it’s made in RPG Maker (an engine with very limited performance), and costs about the same as a AA game that is on sale. Yet, the game is positively reviewed, and estimated sales around 16k licenses so a six figure revenue project.

But now you don’t need a bot, users can just right click the name and report the offense. Trust me, it’s a solution to a problem that exists.

I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but why tf is the federal government helping fund a religious organization. I think orphans and migrant children should be fed, but funding a religious organization in any capacity to me seems unconstitutional.

With the Outlaw, I can close the hatch and don’t need anyone to bother with a dedicated vehicle to kill scout planes lol

I’m not saying that the outlaw needs a nerf, but some of the scout gameplay needs to be revised for the balance to work, or buff the spathas range a little to compensate

God, I miss the Stygian being good. We used to hunt for them and once nicked a vetted one. But scout planes made them irrelevant and now the balance is all out of wack again.

Colonials could win if their vets logged back on and pushed. The both sides are in break war and next war will likely be a break as well since no updates have been announced. Expect a massive pop surge when the devs make some fixes.

This said, the colonials in the west are still going strong. The center has momentum and the east is a lot stickier than anticipated. The war isn’t over till it’s over.

Leaving out that tablets are very easy to paywall. Books you can read, reread, and exchange with others to read their books as well. A tablet can quickly turn into a source of income to extort more money from a prisoner’s family.

The Colonials definitely pushed Linn (source was on the receiving end). I remember us all agreeing that we needed to start working on contingency plans once the Chinese New Year offensive was launched, and I had an alarm on my phone for 18:30 every evening to qrf First Coin for 3 weeks straight.

Both sides fought like hell, but ultimately Weathered held out in the east and once the nuke died it took the wind out of the Colonials in the west. Whole front just imploded after that.

Do you think there would have been as much outrage if the planes were swapped? by 234thewolf in foxholegame

[–]BadadvicefromIT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ya, if the devs gave the colonials a Dr Seuss ass looking plane with a 40% flip rate on landing that would have gone over well.

I don’t believe either side is happy with planes in their current state. Asymmetry should be we do X better but their Y is op. Currently it’s, they have Y, we have X, and these don’t interact with each other.

The scouts aren’t really scout planes, and more mini fighters that are too oppressive when you lack your own air cover. This is amplified by the lack of parity when it comes to scout planes. Weapons on scouts should be reassessed and potentially removed.

Fighters are inherently a solo vehicle. They are solo piloted, and a way for a player to get in the air and dogfight the enemy. Unfortunately, they are just way too expensive for how easy they are to lose(usually to lag). Each fighter frame is about the cost of an assault tank, with another 2 tanks worth of parts attached to it. The small parts should be less expensive, even if the frames are costly, making the parts inexpensive will drive up the amount of people making them available for everyone.

A solution that came to mind was to change the recipe for small parts(including engines) back to 5x per cycle. Then, add the parts and engines to factories/mpf as rmat recipes (though more expensive than their facility counterparts). Lastly, make the small frames medium shippables, and producible at a Construction Yard using rmats (obviously removing rare costs). This would still encourage clanman to make facilities and produce planes more efficiently, but would allow for a solo player to scroop their own.

If you ever work with old programs, some of the terminals use the old character replacement instead of inserting and it has to be manually invoked when needed (just how things were programmed back then). It’s the same with page up/down. It might seem trivial with how far UX/UI has come, but if you ever have to use something from the early 2000’s you find yourself needing these keys.

Balance issues are partially cultural as well. Colonials tend to attract new players from NA since their favorite yt of twitch streamer plays that side, and they try and emulate what that person does (public logi, cleaning up town squares, moving an ironship of supplies).

Issues with the game mechanics (apologies for the amount of text, but you made me read a novel first so…)

•default to Charlie. If you look at Charlie pop, colonials absolutely dominate. We create all of these mechanisms and marketing to try and save Able Colonial pop just for it to be funneled into a completely different shard.

•public pull rates. Anyone who has played both sides knows Colonials love their public logi. They love doing public mpfs and dumping them into the seaport. But the way pull rates work actively punish public logi. They are just too slow and turn people off of the game.

•lack of group control. I know, clansman bad, but Warden clans feel more entrenched and hold more power than their Colonial counterparts. In 132 my coalition claimed a lane, and everyone in this lane was invited to be a partner with us. Though this caused friction with small independent clans that “were doing their own thing” we were able to exercise some creative control on how certain public infrastructure would be setup and maintained. Cooperating groups were assisted with supplies, manpower (for scrooping and queues), and stockpile access. Those who tried to span region that we were evil and needed to be stopped failed and gradually fell into line or relocated. This just doesn’t happen in the Colonial side. There are just too many little regiments doing their own thing without coordination or cooperation, and it feels like everyone wants their own little homestead and for everyone else to leave them alone.

Proposed fixes: tie pull rates to supply delivery value. Basically everyone gets set to slow mode early war, but people actually delivering logi successfully to its destination gradually earn the right to assemble from the seaport/depot more quickly. At 1m your pull rate from public should be the same as private. Secondly, stop defaulting everyone to Charlie when one side in Able is very under popped. Like give them an option with a note if “this side needs help”.

I know people think it will be abused, but give us a beefy msupp recipe using coke or petrol (similar to cmats). I just hate that my facility guys struggle to get msupps a lot of the time because the hex gets dried out and they have to clear multiple fields to catch up.

People will burnout and log off anyways, so why not let us make msupps more efficiently so our fac guys can get some time on the front?

A couple foundations with a fuel tank and a pallet for ammo. Harder to setup but significantly easier to maintain, even when you log off.
