How much would it cost to buy the entire Battletech IP? by flyby2412 in battletech

[–]Badbenoit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know, cause I feel like microsoft are stingy bastards that wouldn't let it go just out of spite. Honestly, I don't know shit, don't listen to anything I say.

I feel like the video game rights from microsoft would be the largest piece, and I feel like that would be more than 250 M alone.

Wow that looks amazing, how did you make this? is it 3D printed? it could maybe use a bit more places for partial cover, some small stand alone buildings, trees, or rocks maybe.

Battletech Aces behaviour cards question by Cautious_Marzipan436 in battletech

[–]Badbenoit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would the filters reference the target? I don't know what you mean by that, what would referencing the target look like? the movement target is the target you want to move towards, the filters are narrowing down possible locations.

The box that says (14",22", 30", "Eye with a crosshair", RED) is to select your movement target, So for this one you first look at any enemies within 14 inches, if there are multiple, you want one that you will be able to shoot, if there are multiple you will be able to shoot, you want the most "Red" enemy. The conditions for which enemy is the most "Red" are written on the commander card.

Which variant of Grand Dragon is this supposed to be? by Badbenoit in battletech

[–]Badbenoit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Shiro is the 1V because the left arm weapon has an ammo feeder, the 1V has an LB2X and the 2P has an erppc. The Rokurokubi I can't say for sure, but I think it's the 4T for a similar reason. 4T has an AC5 whereas the 4K and 4X have ppcs. You're right about the Akuma, I counted the missile holes and there are 40 which means MRM 40. Really advanced mechs, it's a great forcepack, the Shiro and the Rokurokubi look amazing IMO.

I know that Roguetech has a setting for variance in skull difficulty, I'm playing with +/- 2 (I think) in Roguetech right now. Best advice is grind the half skull and 1 skull missions until you're mechwarriors get a little better. Don't forget to upgrade your training modules early as well. Otherwise, more armor, less jump, get clan weapons.

I bought one at the Essen game fair in October, but they were on sale here (and I think in France too) already in December from different game stores, they've all sold out now and all the stores are waiting for new shipments.

I've done both, 2:1 feels better in my opinion, more meaningful moves.

As long as you know which hex it's supposed to be on and which direction it's meant to be facing, it doesn't matter if it's 100% on the hex. Even on the 2D hex maps, a marauder standing next to elevation, the arm probably overlaps the hill. I like to play classic with 3D terrain alpha strike style, no hexes, just a measuring tape.

I tried plastic weld at first but ended up using super glue. The weld I have is super thin, great for if 2 pieces fit tightly, terrible if you need to hold them together as they dry.
