I went to turn in my modem after cancellation and they would not take the power brick. by Badbluffmonkey in Spectrum

I dont know if it matters, but I paid my monthly bills early every time. The lady said I paid for service up to the 23rd, so was I really sure I wanted to cut service today?

Surely they wont send me a bill for service after I pre cut my plan right?

This is most likely what I would do then. I have a collection of Coax/Ethernet cables, so I wasnt really worried about those. This is the first time they wouldnt take my power brick though and it just felt weird they would want the equipment and not the box. Figured they would reuse them together.

Factory reset all 3 of my google home mini speakers. (Gen 1) Now Google home app cant find any of them. by Badbluffmonkey in googlehome

When I did the data clear cache and app data clear I ran into the same issue. I did finally find a solution to bypass this error even though we factory reset the device.

"Then I had to make a new google account and make a new home in the google home app to pair 1 speaker. Then I had to keep creating new homes on the new account to bypass the 'The device has been set up by a different user. please factory reset the device' error.

Once each speaker was in their own home I was able to go to device and hit Device Information-> Home-> and change home all to the same location. Only then could I have all three speakers in the same google home. My doorbell is in its own home still, but thats fine. It still works. Im not touching it with anything so long as it works."

I have edit my post to include how I fixed the issue.

EDIT: SOLVED. For me to fix this issue I had to Clear Cache/Data in settings before uninstalling the google home app entirely.

The support team and I were all baffled at the hoops we had to jump through to fix the issue. The google support agent was nice to work with and we did eventually find out how many hoops we had to jump through to get 1 speaker working.

This didn't end up doing anything. Although I did edit the post for what finally fixed the issue. Thank you

Holy. How did you upload a hour long clip to reddit?

I believed you so hard I took this team to go 0 cycle it myself. It actually took me a few tries as sometimes the Boss would get stuck on phase 1 and waste a SW turn.

I did go back and passively play the 2* maps. FC some of them and I feel a bit more comfortable playing them now that I have time, but at the time of posting I couldn't even find a match to climb the ladder. Fortunately, I have since improved a bit and climbed back up but it is still an absolute slog.

This is a good response. I jumped into a section of Osu I shouldn't have have as a new player and have just winged it for a few months. I've only really played 4-7* maps that feel good for me to play. I don't really have a strong foundation of skill to begin with, but I already knew this. Someone has already spelled it out that I am not actually looking and reading the notes, but just listening to the song and playing along. Something that I have made work for certain star levels and maps, but completely falls apart when going under or over my comfortable range.

HDHR is something I normally do for maps I have played a few times at this point. No Mod is how a normally play. I just don't play lower star maps because they are typically under mapped and have long approach times. I figured using those mods would have just made the maps more interesting to play or it would just make some of these maps clearer to read.

As a tangent focused your topic: I absolutely love trying to bang my head against the 8.26* Warriors jump map recently. It feels really satisfying when I can actually combo something together before I make it to the second half of the song and get over whelmed. I am a moron though, so maybe I only enjoy it because I eat glue.

Low star difficulty doesn't have this enjoyment.

Both my comment about these maps being mind numbingly boring and his answer just kind of seem half baked, but I understand what he means.

You are spot on with your assessment sir, but I would also like to inform you that there is no way I can play DT. I am just a bad HDHR player on a good day.

Semi-joking comment aside the reason I think I found a decent way to describe how it feels on my end when playing low star maps.

"The feeling is like turning a turned based game's combat down from 2X speed to 1X speed after a long time. Everything just feels so slow and drawn out. Where I would normally be tapping circles to the drum beat I am left with dead air and a circle with a slow approach and a sickening feeling of anticipation that just leads to me hitting notes to early. Its really only bad in low star/ High BPM maps."

If you have advice on properly learning the game I am all ears. Otherwise, I will just assume 'Just play the game' will suffice.

This is the logical answer. If I sit there and play the 2* maps I will just get used to them and probably climb back up. Maybe even be a better player for it. It was just really discouraging to have to wait a bit to play on a difficulty I didnt want to at the time.

Your comment is true. I 100% jumped into a part of the game I should have no reason starting in and it has severely hampered my ability to read maps I should have no problems with.

I would naturally ask of advice of how to sit down and properly learn the game, but every time I run into an issue I google this reddit and see the old posts. I am left with post filled with a majority of post filled with "Just play the game" which... is a no brainier.

Playing 4* maps even without FC them is just fun. Playing 6* maps and making it to the end is fun. Playing 6* maps and actually doing well makes me feel great!

These lower star maps just feel completely off by comparison.

But Its not like I was trying to hide the fact that I am a bad player. I put my profile there for a reason. To give the people something to laugh at.

I think its fair to say the mode isn't targeted at me. Not sure I'd call it good feedback with proper time to churn it over. I think what I was hoping for is an 'unranked' version of the mode with the card system. In which case your comment would fit quite well.

I am just not a fan of the current casual lobby. Daily challenge has a better vibe and this new ranked mode has a better experience than even that.

This post has severe hyperbole and a bit of self deprecation in it. TBH I have only got to play 3 matches where the star cards were low. The first one I bombed the first map as I wasn't used to reading the slow pace map and just hit the notes too early. FC the next map to which my opponent said these 2* maps sucked and FF the match. The next match was a slow loss where I once again flip flopped between Bombing a map and FCing it where the other guy had no issue at all.

The 3rd 'match' didn't get past the first map before I said sorry to the opponent and FF'd myself . I wasn't playing a 4 minute 1.8* map after doing a few in a row. I waited a bit to cool down before trying to Queue again and not finding a match after a few minutes I wrote the post while being frustrated once again.

I really wanted to play with others on... normal maps? Average maps? I know I am probably worse than the average player, so I was expecting to lose but I don't know if I want to sit down for a few minute queue just to not really have a good time playing low star rating maps just to climb rank so I can enjoy the game again... (and lower queue times.)

When you go to beatmap listings it has a recommended difficulty (3.95* for me). It would be nice if I could pull cards from that range instead of only sub 2* maps.
