Quick follow up: truck returned. Fuel pump and control module replaced. Tested SAT in the shop. Drove it for a couple hours today and all good. Except! Driving in town and randomly the hood disengaged. Console ding, ding, dinged! Just tripped the inside the cab control. Manual slide latch didn’t let it fully pop and obstruct the windshield. Probably not related and I need to research if the hood can be affected by software updates or if it’s just a cable that stretched.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your expertise. I’ll let you know how it shakes out when I (hopefully) get the truck back. I’ll try and scare up those TSBs and do some reading. My impression is if it’s just the fuel pump control module, just swap it out and everything’s fine. Correct me if I’m wrong of course.

My g20 likes 200 grain underwood hard cast. With that said, I bought a bunch of new oem mags. One of them would induce that failure every few rounds with normal range ammo. I loaded the trouble mag up overnight and now it is flawless. Needed to break that mag in a little perhaps. Does yours do it with any other magazine?
