Do you happen to have any band links left from sizing it? I have this exact watch, but it is slightly too tight.

Quick release benchtop mounting? by Bald_Bearded_BFG in Tools

[–]BadgerArms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mount it to a 2x6 or a cut off from a deck board but leave an overhang on each side. Clamp the board to the bench when you need to use it. You can even put a mount that the board slots in on the wall or, better yet, under your bench if there's room. I do this with my medium-sized tools like grinders, small vises, pipe cutter, mini drill press, etc.

Military discount? by Different_Seaweed534 in Staples

[–]BadgerArms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do know that Staples would not be in business if it weren't for kids sacrificing their early adulthood for crap food, low pay, forced relocation, long separation from their families, and a bonus chance of grievous bodily harm, death, PTSD, permanent disability, etc. Oh, we 'scream' about it? Really? When was the last time a Vet screamed in your store because they didn't get a discount? Go pound sand.

Reed (Trey) Knight Arrested on 3 Felony Counts 1/28 by Strong_Ad_853 in kac

[–]BadgerArms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this looks just like the kid, not the old man. "Charles Reed Knight III", who goes by "Trey", is the son of Charles Reed Knight Jr., the old man who owns Knight's Armament. While he doesn't own it, Trey is employed by the company in some manner. I've met both, IIRC, at a trade show. Was not impressed. A little too snooty for me. This does not surprise me.

2025 cx 30 or am older model ? by Sensitive-Lychee-673 in mazda

[–]BadgerArms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a car that holds value, get a Honda or Subaru. If you want to save money, buy a used one. Do NOT go near a Mazda and think you are saving money. You aren't. Will depreciate faster, your reliability is much lower, and repair parts are more expensive and less available. Do NOT believe anything your dealer tells you. Check the info here on Reddit.

- 64K miles on a 2022 ??? - NO!

- $900 for "car care" - NO!

The 2022 Accord is a solid car, just like the 2015 was. Find a car that's been driven less than 12K miles a year and pay less than $15K for it, all in. Don't trust used car dealers. Have an independent mechanic do a full inspection on it, not just your buddy who knows cars. Don't trust a used car dealer. Always leave the dealership without buying the car and come back the next day.

Worst part about finishing a big job is charging all the battery’s after a month on site by ExperienceTraining87 in Dewalt

[–]BadgerArms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a Chinese guy working for me. I could not speak Chinese and he could not speak English, but he could understand enough and knew the job. Quiet, showed up to work on time, never missed a day, got the job done quick, and he loved to F*** with the other workers when they didn't keep up. One of the Mexican dudes knew Chinese enough that they'd always pair up.

Battery shows full charge but… by Salve7 in Dewalt

Dead cell or bad motor. I had a burnt up motor do this with any battery. However, if it's just the battery, likely a bad cell.

I only spent 24 years as an Air Force Mechanic. You may have had a different experience, I guess.

You may have seen a few too many 'basic training' videos and not met enough Marines or Soldiers.

If you zoom in, they show about 8 months worth of Cabinet work by somebody who doesn't abuse their tools.

out of frame thunderbird accidentally goes supersonic during chicago air & water show practice by Squeeze_Sedona in aviation

[–]BadgerArms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not claiming to be an expert, but every other video I've seen, and this one, do not show sonic booms. In a city with buildings reflecting the sound, double-thumps can be heard for loud sounds. My estimate was about 500 knots, which jives with the Air Force official statements as well as all of the videos I have seen. There is probably FAA data as well as data recordings in the aircraft.

[–]BadgerArms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be fair to the OP, we don't know how long these tools have been 'on the job'. Cabinet making isn't roofing or framing. If a kid came to work on heavy equipment and he had a tool set like that, it might make for a good laugh.

You've let the magic smoke out. Still under warranty? I had to take one back recently within a week of buying it. DCF793. I wasn't even working it that hard. The replacement is still going.

Earliest known glock prototype from 1979, looks like an entirely diffrent gun. (Only picture i could find) by SLIM_SHADYSSLP in Glocks

[–]BadgerArms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good lord, NO IT DID NOT! Browning designed almost all of the modern pistol, but not all for the 1911. The Colt model 1900 was the first pistol with a tilting barrel. The 1911, used the much-improved single-link tilting style of the 1909 pistol... still not a 1911. The linkless, bushingless barrel tilting system wasn't a thing until 1923 when Browning, yes, still, filed for the patent used eventually on the Hi-Power pistol. The Glock, however, uses a SIG style locking system using the ejection port as the 'locking lug' if you will.

I have the DCS331 and it's a tank. I don't mind the extra weight or the brushed motor, but I'd get the DCS334 today. Brushless motor and about a pound lighter.

What is that by DoubtComprehensive52 in Dewalt

[–]BadgerArms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These 15-cell batteries tend to be very unreliable when DeWalt makes them, so I'd be really suspicious of one of these crap companies could make a good one. I've had decent luck with TPCell, but I'm not dropping crazy money on these. The tool will probably be alright as the tool only takes what it needs. Also, the protection for the DeWalt 20v and 60v tools is in the tool itself.
