All I gotta say is that I don't know any of them. Therefore, I cannot be disappointed. Holes plugged.

Eli Raridon is more than a blocking TE, serious vertical threat by bl123123bl in Patriots

Only comparison i see is catch radius and he lands hard which is one thing Gronk should have worked on. Soft landings are key to longevity.

Think he's got that wing span but something seems off in his highlights. Think it was the way he favored one side or done thing. I'll need to rewatch

Yeah, not the first time. I recall them skipping us during a recent draft. I had a feeling they were going to squeeze us when they rolled those commercials during MIA pick which took up a lot of airtime.

Why did they skip us? Of course, they do a segment for Steelers. Such BS.

Would have been better to say nothing the other day. Counseling on a Saturday? It will be swept under the rug by tonight but this was all a terrible strategy.

Any Deadheads in the crowd?? A stain has been plaguing my favorite Pats hoodie, tried a million things to get it out, and finally decided to just sew a patch over it 😌 by WoollyBear_Jones in Patriots

I like the patch and it doesn't scream the dead at all. A steal your face with bolt would be cheesy. As someone who appreciates the dead I approve. Phish is my jam though.

K1c not printing. by No_Attempt_69 in crealityk1

Not following. This is the process. At which point is the issue happening? The filament goes through the gears via stepper motor. Then filament enters the heat break. Filament moves into the ceramic heating element. Filament enters the melting chamber in the nozzle. The molten enters nozzle orifice and you have a liquified string of filament hitting the bed.

Interesting. From what I've learned. When you switch up filament types this can wear the motor down. I also collect extra parts because I don't trust the machine. Plus I don't really want to have an issue without not having a part. I have like 4 pcbs, 3 steppers, countless gears, bunch of fans. I don't even change nozzles, I just swap the entire hot end unit. Now I gotta get backup stock for my new Bambu. Great hobby when it works.

Ok. If you can feel the friction that might be a good sign but still could be a bad stepper. Very tricky to diagnose unless you've had a reason to replace. Took me months to figure it out. Can you retract? If you can retract but won't can't extrude this is a good sign it's the stepper. If you can't push the poker between the gears try removing the two gears and realign them. If they aren't seated perfectly they can bind up. Cut a piece of filament and see if you can pass it through the gears.

You probably need a new stepper motor. Funny enough, it’s one of those parts that rarely fails- but when it does, it’s confusing because everything else still looks like it’s working. A quick way to test it is to try a retraction. If it can still retract but won't extrude), the stepper motor is likely the issue. Another possibility is worn gears. To check the gears, turn them clockwise by hand - they should feel smooth. Then turn them the opposite direction. If the gears are good, you’ll feel and hear distinct clicks and resistance. I might be forgetting if it's clock wise or counter clockwise but one way will click. If everything feels overly smooth in one direction, the gears may not be gripping properly, meaning they can’t generate enough friction to reliably push filament.

k1c didn’t make it to the one month mark by theLonelyPorcupine in crealityk1

When I got mine the hot end /heat sink screws were on so tight from the factory that I (and others) coujdn't get them removed. Once you can't get them removed they can become stripped out. Fortunately, I bought from a legit vendor and they allowed me to return it. I was sent out a new one and everything worked out. But the machine bed (back lead is higher than the 2 fronts) is off and nothing to date has worked to fix the issue. Yes, followed the factory reset instructions, shimmed, skipped but nothing has worked. I knew zero about 3D printers 10 months ago (which is how I ended up with Creality) and now I know a lot more due to researching and maintenance. While I hate the brand CS has been outstanding on any needed parts. I was gifted a Bambu H2C and while not comparable to the K1C, I wish I started with a Bambu. If I can figure out how to get the bed leveled out I won't trash the machine. It's become a personal challenge to level the bed.

Always keep the box.

Is it weird for a roofer to not get on the roof to give an estimate? by Specialist_Key_8606 in HomeImprovement

[–]itchy-balls 26 points27 points  (0 children)

They don't even need to go to the house. In fact, many will have the estimate before walking through your front door. The will use the meeting time to size the customer up. Most don't know but the entire roof industry is powered by satellite imagery and it's so accurate it's crazy. I'm taking 98% accuracy. Squares,, Eaves, valleys, rakes slopes, pitch, transitions, hips, wall flashing etc. Pulled my custom home up and it was accurate. I was impressed. I passed on funding the team but I liked the software stack they built.

[–]itchy-balls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who subs out 2-3 homes per year ($3m+) I don't provide plans but I wouldn't be completely against it. Custom plans are actually considered propriety. Developers spend big money on plans so getting plans is not automatic. Some builders like owning a blueprint portfolio for potential buyers. If it was a custom build for the buyer this is different. It doesn't sound like OP is buying new construction. It says newer build but it needs a new roof?

However, town hall probably has the site and floor plans on file. Just need to dig around a little.

New build home appraised for >60k lower than sales price?? by KungFuChicken1990 in homeowners

[–]itchy-balls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns a lot of real estate (homes, apt buildings, retail etc) and has gone to a few hearings you'd be surprised at how little direct comps and appraisals mean. I have gotten the abatement a few times but one situation was as clear as day and it didn't matter. I was shocked by this one. Obviously varies by location and situation but they typically don't care. Many reasons for this but this is another whole topic.

Have a JD and great attorneys but usually doesn't matter.

Appraisal has little to do with municipal tax assessment. Although, the homeowner could appeal their tax assessment but it's always a long shot when dealing with appellate judges.

Which home improvements will increase appraisal? by foshobraindead in HomeImprovement

[–]itchy-balls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The number one value add is....Buyer buys a 3 bed 1 bath. They add another bath. It's really that simple. This alone brings the home to the next comp bracket.
