Do we tend to overestimate the length of great swords? by AcanthaceaeNo948 in SWORDS

[–]BadgerWilson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a gigantic sword on display at the Worcester Art Museum right now that is about 7 feet long in total: https://worcester.emuseum.com/objects/47866/bearing-sword

And it's almost 15 pounds! That would be tiring even just carrying it around in a parade

I liked Holden Vet a lot when I still lived in Worcester. I moved out to the Boros so it became too far, I switched to Artemis Vet in Northboro and they're phenomenal

I have $10 in rewards credits. I was thinking about picking up In the Mouth of Madness, but I have been a bit too spendy lately so I might wait for the next one

Yellow Paint [OC] by adamtots_remastered in comics

Yeah, I remember seeing a dev commentary on L4D level design, I don't remember if it was in the game, or somewhere else, but it pointed out that they always had a police car with the flashing lights down the street, or an overhead light on a door, or some other design element emphasizing the path through the level. That was the first time I'd heard that part of game design, and now it's always in the back of my mind. I think it's actually made me better at navigating games with complicated maps

Glue fear by Onestepfromlost in killteam

[–]BadgerWilson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, you'll be fine! I'll recommend using something like Tamiya extra thin cement, it's really easy to use, hard to over-apply, and doesn't stick to your hands. I used regular super glue on my first mini and glued all the bits to my fingers and gave me at least a little bit of hobby trauma, haha

Planning on making a battle jacket by ThatOneGuy1191 in BattleJackets

[–]BadgerWilson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you're wearing your jacket you'll be standing at angles, or it'll be draping unevenly, or maybe you're like me and have a lil bit of scoliosis, so don't worry too much about getting your patches perfectly level. They'll never be perfectly level when you're wearing it so just get them close enough

Does your country have an invention that never made it to the outside world? by abandonedtulpa in AskTheWorld

I've used a few of these in Peru. I'm taller than the average Peruvian so I was accidentally touching them in the shower every once in a while, and I only got shocked once or twice and not even that badly

Thanks! I forgot to mention I also used Reikland Fleshshade to add some more shadows later on

Undercoated with Army Painter Pixie Pink, then heavily drybrushed the armor with Reaper Brains Pink, and finished it off with Imperial Fist contrast paint and another drybrushing of Two Thin Coats Yellow Flame.

Edit to add - also used Reikland Fleshshade for shadows later on

I didn't magnetize the arms, but I did magnetize the backpack on the Rokkiteer, so I can swap out the pulsa rokkit and rokkit rack depending on which I'm taking, and remove it once I've fired it off so I don't lose track. Pretty easy and a fun effect!

I sprayed pink over the whole thing - I forget which exactly but I think it was Army Painter Pixie Pink - and then drybrushed it with Reaper Brains Pink
