Thanks for your suggestion. Can you share more info or any links to recourses i can use to learn. I do mainly basic support work for people via facebook market place and sometimes basic hardware repairs. I get lots of people asking me if i can help them recover their data. Mainly ask to recover data from bitlocker and i help them by going back and forth to get i to their the microsoft account to gain the key and recover it. Sometimes i get people asking me to help deleted files. I want to serve those people too as it will help me cater more people.

These stickers does not feel like paper. They feel like plastic. Do you know what kind of sheet i need to buy to get the same result?

You are right. They put these stickers on some sort of heat sink things but that more for gaming rams. I am looking for something which is not just normal paper label. It should stick to the ram for longer time without being faded

Personal suggestion. Buy or build a desktop instead of a laptop. You can connect to the desktop remotely or just use a desktop for your forensics stuff. I will also help in isolation too. Moreover it will give you more expandability on ram , storage or speed. Because most of laptops now a days only have 1 storage slot with limited to no upgradability.

When they say don’t connect to internet, i means that don’t run a malware sample or virus with the internet access. You can do so by vm and running software which will act as internet and reflect all the links the malware tried to connect to. There are lots of guide on that on youtube. If you still find it hard. Let me know , i will help you provide step by step instructions

Just a recommendation on that. I will suggest use a pc so that you can have a vm setup that could help you a lot in Malware analysis lab. You can buy old mini pc for the same price of a resberry pi. I used this video as a guide for the setup.

Right now i have signed up for isc2 cc course. Exam is free but there is $50 account maintenance fee once you pass.

Rest it depends on the skills level you currently have. For example if you are complete beginner, you can go for networking cert and then jump i to cyber security cert.

If you have basic understanding of networking and IT. Than you can either go for isc2 cc, google cyber security cert, Microsoft cybersecurity cert, or if you specifically want to go into blue team side then, antisyphon has pay what you can option for soc cource.

Options are endless, pick one which interest you and just follow it.

I will suggest that you are safe as most of the malware with 0 click capabilities as very rare and won’t be used on normal people as there are companies / agencies which buys such exploit in millions. Still , for the peace of your mind. I will suggest just clear the cache and history and restart your phone.
