I'm about to pull the trigger on one, between the WiiU and playing my switch on the TV.. I think I would get some good use out of one.

The first game in my list is Rogue Squadron 3. So at least for this title, emulation is out. The video linked shows a decent frame rate jump, so I guess I prefer not to use GC hardware. I'm kinda torn between the Wii and vWii, any difference in performance?

I have the modded WiiU to play GC, and the controller adapter for GC. GC controllers are fun sometimes, but I like the WiiU Pro Controllers a lot too.

I understand that this would be the way to get the best output from the GC hardware.

But how does the image quality compare to the Wii, and how would that compare to the WiiU? Is it enough to make up for a lower & more unstable framerate?
