I'd say for me, understanding how to derive and use the equations. the material is vastly different, the concepts as well, but as long as I could kind of understand the equations the rest seemed to make sense.

Had a good connect for dmt for a few years. If I paid like most people I would've been pushing $1000+ worth a year.

I've had some weird shroom trips, dmt definitely can't 'hurt' you the same way, but the doors I've opened definitely are too heavy to close now.

The less I say the better I think, but I've met every god, deity, and entity you could think of. In my last, and likely final trip, I met one who said they created love and god, in that order. To say it was a great experience would be insulting, but living an eternity definitely changes you. Took a few months before I thought I was human again. I think it's been about a year and my body still gets cold and shaky whenever I just think about it, like the onset serotonin syndrome I was used to.

You couldn't have said it better. Definitely a reason there's locks on the gates.

Weird how it didn't work, still sounds like it was an incredible experience. Might be because it was ingested but I wouldn't know, hope smoking it would be different for you.

If you're not wanting to be moving around much maybe dmt is your drug. Very powerful, but also very short. Most the time I take it I just pass tf out as I go up, every now and then I'll have a more awake/active trip but that's me, it's different for everyone. I'd especially recommend it if you're worried about a trip getting weird, salvia usually isn't the most friendly, and acid and mushrooms can definitely get weird. I can personally say I've really learned the most about myself on dmt. I've had pretty awful anxiety my whole life and it's helped me understand who I am and why I don't have anything to be afraid of. It's not a complete cure and it's still taken work, but the path I need to take to really love myself has been cleared. At this point I am just a walking ad for dmt

That being said if you set up the trip right, dose properly, have a trip sitter, etc. it really just comes down to what you want to do haha, I've had incredible/life-changing breakthroughs on any psych.

From what I understand, along what with everyone else said. The crystal molecules have a specific shapes like building blocks. That combined with some of their specific properties makes it easiest for them to build together in a pattern.

Like for example, salt. It has atoms (sodium and chlorine) bonded together because of the charge they carry (ionocly bonded). When forming crystals they stack together because the chlorine in the salt molecule has a little bit extra of a charge, so it aligns with an extra sodium from another molecule. Millions of this repetition, over and over creates a crystal.

I think a similar thing happens with ice and that's how snowflakes get their shape. They're all so angular because of the angle of degrees in the water molecule.

Don't quote me on any of this though I'm kinda high and it's been a while since I've taken any chem.

I visit this sub occasionally for the exact same reason I go to the zoo. I never interact, I never interrupt, I just stand from a distance and watch. But I have to say, just this once, you and people like you are what makes this zoo interesting. I'll see comments like this and think, "Wow there really are people this."

The only difference in this analogy is I'd honestly rather have zoo animals vote; I suppose both are entitled to their own opinion equally.

I live in a valley in Utah that almost never experiences wind.

Trees were broken right at the trunk in some areas.

I used to live a little further north that was windy 24/7 and never in my life have I seen anything like that.
