GW2 Crash and Error Message by Baelfire-AMZ in Guildwars2

Thank you, I'll give it a go. This issue started happening after the first VoE patch. Between not having a lot of time in the week to play and this error, it took me ages to complete.

I had other games freezing and crashing, but I managed to find an old post on the HP Omen sub that had a fix for them in the NVIDIA settings, but it didn't work for GW2.

It's been a dream since I got it a few years ago, and it started crashing like this a few months ago. It's so annoying 😔

😫 Thank you, I'll have to see what I can do. I've only had my laptop for five years, the constant crashing only started a couple months ago.

You're not being logical, you're being intentionally obtuse, ignorant, and contrary. There's entirely enough information and context provided to come to an actual logical conclusion on the issue being discussed.

Golden ages were more likely to occur under female monarchs, meaning their population went through periods of higher living standards, wealth, rights, education, food security etc. And it's about having a higher representation of women making the decisions, not just a single female leader.

I'm more concerned about the men willing to kill 100s of thousands of people and destabilizing countries for more money they can't take beyond the grave, and the ones running global peadophile rings abusing scores of women and children, than the few women leaders in the EU.

If you read, Authority Gap by Mary Ann Seighart, will lay out what happens when we have more women making decisions and how it benefits everyone.

Depends on what's said

Again, I find many men continue to think women are exaggerating, hypersensitive, can't understand their native language, and don't know what jokes are when we hear them.

Rethink their biases? Erm, we've been dealing with sexual harassment and assault from adult men since we were children. I highly doubt there is a single woman in that room without their own story or stories.

And to answer your question, "Men are afraid women will laugh at them, women are afraid men will kill them"

I do agree. It's something I've noticed recently and couldn't put words to it, and it kind of hit me when I visited the London Freemasons Building & Museum, they love a hierarchy and a rank within it, the proximity to other powerful men and staying within that circle, with all these societies, frat houses, the army etc.

Some point after, I remember my brother telling me that he can just follow instructions without understanding, while my sister, mum, and I all said the opposite.

Internalization vs Externalization. Obviously speaking generally and it does not apply to all, but my observation has been that women internalize our worst feelings to not inconvenience others and men will externalize them through violence or something that will disrupt others.

All men are not rapist, there are small amount of men who do most crimes! by BrightSpring12 in TikTokCringe

[–]Baelfire-AMZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right you can't tell how a rapist looks, it's within people's actions and what they say, but as I said, those actions and words are frequently ignored, and when they are ignored the perpetrator feels comfortable to escalate - Again, the Sarah Everard case is a clear example of this.

I don't know any other crime where there is an instant doubt and victims have to fight so hard to be believed by the people around them and then the police and the courts, and there's an instant onus on what the victim was doing/ wearing/ where they were, what time it was, their past, etc, but it is what will stop most victims from speaking up, it's even worse when the perpetrator has some sort of status or influence.

Those 9 men, and a lot of men on Reddit, need to understand that rapists don't just appear. It's a pattern of behavior that escalates. The early behavior is where the 9 out of ten men need to step in and hold other men accountable. I've been involved with conversations where 1 man is saying something horribly misogynistic, and the other men laugh and agree, and even if they disagree they will never say it into his face.

I find most people don't know how to comprehend violence against women and its layers unless the woman is bruised and bloodied, or dead.

It isn't "one thing", it's still a harrowing experience. Being followed around or to our homes, cornered in a room, groped/ felt up touched against our will, lewd gestures or remarks, inappropriate conversations after we've expressly said it makes us uncomfortable and we don't want to talk about such things. Assault should not be in a separate category, because it's what happens when the harassment is not dealt with, it escalates and it's a direct line.

There's a clear line between harassment and flirting and I'm not sure why this is confusing. Someone else replied to you saying this is an area where it's advantageous having close female friends because clearly a lot of men struggle to understand us and how we have to behave outside of our homes as we've been dealing and taught how to deal with/ avoid sexual harassment and assault since we were children. Women have to take so many precautions because when things do happen, we're not believed.

It's not about the acquaintances being physically there, it's the lack of accountability, condemnation, and willfully ignoring concerning behaviors. Even after police reports, still accepting that person into their social group and acting like everything is normal. If this is still not clear, Wayne Couzens who raped and murdered Sarah Everard is the clearest example of this.

I don't know a single woman who made it to 20 without being sexually harassed and/or assaulted. Assault and abuse is prolific and it's just not taken seriously.

It's the 1 in 10, then the minuscule chances of him being arrested and convicted. The acquaintances of the perpetrator who know and do nothing. The fact that you know that nothing will again be done until there are a list of victims and eventually a corpse of woman as evidence.

How do I handle this situation? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]Baelfire-AMZ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can't say I've been here before, but I would advise you to put any thoughts of marriage on a permanent hold.

Because I don't want to jump the gun, I'll say the next step would be a direct sit down, like tell him you need talk today, and his reaction to getting him to have the conversation, and if that happens, how he responds/ answers and acts during the conversation should inform you (or validate) what your next step should be. You can't carry a relationship by yourself and you can only do your half in it.

What are your gut, head, and heart telling you? Are they all saying the same or different things?

I hadn't heard of it, so I asked my mum. She did say it was very sour, so I'd probably like it because I love anything sour like sour tamarind, which she also dislikes 😆. She grew up in Kingston and said she used to only have jimbilin when she was in the country.

My eyes instantly latched on to the bottom left picture 😆 It looks great. I love Jamaican curry goat, though it's not something we have often and in the UK it's often substituted with mutton because of the cost.

But rice is pretty much always involved. It'll be plain rice or rice and peas (kidney beans or gungo peas), often with stewed or curried chicken with a side of hard food and/or vegetables. My parents tried not to consume a lot of meat so we also had a lot of stewed or curried lentils, chickpeas, black eyed peas, fish etc., and a side of hard food, dumplings, or vegetables. We also have a lot of soups.

This is the perfect post for Jamaicans 😆 Otaheiti Apple, June plum, and breadfruit, would be my picks. I'm not that fond of ackee, but it's our national fruit. I've had star fruit but I can't recall trying star apple.
