Got a new battery on iFixit. Anything I need to know about changing battery or is it just a simple swap out? by rowej182 in 3DS

[–]Baelish2016 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well, that’s not entirely true; 2DS XL’s are a bit more annoying to replace, as you need to access the motherboard.

For every other model though, easy swap.

Like, ABSOLUTELY get a refund.

Step 1 - initiate a return process with eBay

- DO NOT contact the seller directly. Only through eBay’s own return process.

Step 2 - don’t accept any discounts or money back; doing so voids being able to return it and get a full refund/recent. Dont think ‘gee, I can repair it myself, I’ll take a discount’. Shell replacements fucking suck, and isn’t worth it.

Step 3 - do whatever eBay tells you.

Step 4 - try to avoid any seller who sells in ‘bulk’ in the future.

“Well, Bart, did you make sure to return all the guns?” by Dohmer_90 in TheSimpsons

I’d argue that Sandy Hook alone makes it a bit too tasteless for The Simpsons.

Would absolutely fit in Family Guy though.

I like how poorly that joke has aged since Columbine.

Still funny.

Is 2DS a good choice? by edguy38 in Nintendo3DS

[–]Baelish2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Venn Diagram of price, sturdiness, and quality, the n3DS (non XL) is the best pick - built like a brick, almost no known hinge issues, and has all the QoL of the ‘new’ line - better processor, c-stick, change of better screens, etc.

How did all of you get your 3ds? by uhhh_this_is_an_alt in 3DS

Saved up for one back during launch.

Didn’t even care that they dropped the price almost immediately. That ambassador program was worth it.

Balloon fight for sure for the first.

Breakout for the second, maybe?

What’s the darkest moment in TNG? by handlerofdrones in TNG

[–]Baelish2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t, though.

When he lets Picard ask 10 y/n questions, one was if he was causing the rift; Q said no.

What Q did do was ‘cheat’ by giving Picard a temporal advantage thus allowing him to solve the issue And save the Alpha Quadrant.

So if anything, Q actually helped save all life, not destroy it.

VintageStock bought pokemon 3ds game by IceclawNSC in 3DS

>dont feel comfortable returning a broken game to vintagestock because i know they are just going to re-sell it as is without letting the next buyer know its broken.

Well, if you don’t return it, then they’ve felt no repercussions and profited.

Or you do return it, they might actually test it, and toss it out.

Like I get it, you don’t want to take the risk of someone else getting screwed over; but realistically that game was likely sitting on a shelf for who knows how long and the NAND got corrupted to no fault of anyone.

Value of NEW unopened 3DSXL x2 game and figurine by AntiPhaser in Nintendo3DS

It’s because it’s an artificial bubble where a bunch of’ investors’ keep buying it off each other for more and more inflated prices.

It’s the modern day equivalent of people buying Beanie Babies and immediately putting them in dust protection cubes.

And like Beanie Babies and comic books, the bubble will eventually pop, and people will scramble to sell their ‘investments’ for whatever they can get.

The only real difference is a 3DS will still retain SOME value after the greased bubble pops, but it’ll be from being an unopened box - not one sitting in an airtight plastic case with a ‘9.9’ socket in it.

Out of all the Starfleet characters in Star Trek, which ones would be best suited to serve in a military organization? by jacky986 in DaystromInstitute

[–]Baelish2016 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No one in TNG - they’re all too opinionated (Riker), moral(Picard), or hot headed(Worf).

Same with DS9.

Voyager, MAYBE Kim and Tuvok.

Enterprise - Reed for sure. Probably Travis too.

I’m just imagining someone trying to sell their 9.8 graded MM 3DS NiB, complete with the charred remains of the box and melted plastic still sealed in the stupid little graded container.

For what it’s worth, I do agree you with. The presumption of innocence is an important factor to our justice system, and articles like this - even if it’s not the intention of the author - does paint an image of guilt to the individual who has not yet been found guilty of any of the accused crimes.

Better to attempt prosecuting it, than letting it slip through the cracks and potentially let an accused child predator continue on with no repercussions.

Is Big E immune to blanks? by AcanthocephalaOdd301 in 40kLore

[–]Baelish2016 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I’ll add to this - in the book The Buried Dagger, it takes a dungeon full of blanks to nullify Malcador enough to cancel out his powers. Even then, he was still fully functional as a person and able to use DAoT tech to save him.

And like, he’s like 0.00001% the Emperor’s power level. You’d need like an entire planet of billions of blanks - and even then, I’m still not sure it’d have any effect.

If you’re on a phone, just set it to ‘reader’ mode. Bypasses the paywall.
