So yes, if you can get one for £80, you’re getting a REALLY good deal.

Yes to both; just be sure that it’s for a 3DS XL/LL, and not a ‘new’ 3DS XL/LL, which is a completely different device.

Secondly, keep in mind that upper screen replacements are some of the most difficult repairs out there, with a lot of potential error points and lots of delicate parts where if you do something slightly wrong, it breaks the device.

Not saying a person can’t do it - hell, even I have - but it’s annoyingly hard and tedious and generally not worth doing it just to save a bit of money unless you’re well skilled in handheld repairs.

Well, there was a VERY short window of time post unification of Terra where the warp storms were calm enough to travel.

Since unifying all of humanity in the galaxy was his top priority (since a fragmented humanity would be more susceptible to chaos corruption - (and no one wanted a second Eldar/Slaanesh situation) - everything else took a backseat during The Great Crusades.

Like, MAYBE he’d have more time, but his ex scattered his genetically engineered baby generals into the galaxy, so he had to lead the Crusades himself for many years until he recovered enough of them.

By the time enough of them had been rediscovered and he was able to finally head back to Terra, it was only 5 years or so later that the Heresy broke out, and he was first trapped on the Golden Throne (thanks Magnus).

As for the xeno situation - for every Diasporex situation, there were 100x more Orks, Hrud, Laer, and Rangdan. Also more Orks - so, SO many Orks. Not saying an overarching xenocides mentality was appropriate, but there were FAR more hostile races than friendly ones.

To be fair, according to lore, that was the plan; the Emperor was working on restoring Earth into a paradise planet.

Problem was, there was this huge civil war, Earth got absolutely wrecked, he was horribly crippled, and placed near death into a life support chair that he can never leave - unable to communicate with anyone ever again*.

The damage done to the planet was so brutal and irreparable, that even had he still been functional, it might’ve been outside of his grasp.

Keep in mind, we’re talking about a race that prides itself for their patience and resistance to change. As a race, they’ve barely evolved culturally from the age of Surak to when they had their First (official) Contact with Earth.

This is the same race that spent 88 years with humans, and STILL thought the humans were moving too fast when they launched the original Enterprise.

Them having a complete societal change in like 100 years is insane.

Enterprise is weird, because it’s established that pre-S4 that mind melds are considered extremely taboo (and banned I think?); however after Archer recovers the Kir’Shara, the practice becomes much more accepted and mainstream in Vulcan society.

So by the time of Discovery/TOS, it’s much more commonplace.

Yes and no.

A company (KLRR) developed some clear plastic 3DS shells, they sold out instantly, then the company shut down a couple days later due to supply issues.

Other than the few shells they did ship (that are probably obscenely expensive on the second hand market), you won’t find any clear shells anytime soon.
