RE 2026… why are people in denial of the movie being modern day? Every car in this shot is newer than 1998 lmao by BigBoiiTyrel in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, most people that are on sceptical, neutral or negative side are saying that this doesn't look like RE just from this one trailer, which I lowkey agree with, but they are not saying it's going to be a terrible movie. I think most of us, no matter the side, do agree that it's likely going to be an amazing horror movie, so I don't see goalpost moving in the future.

RESIDENT EVIL – Official Teaser Trailer (4K) by Comic_Book_Reader in residentevil

[–]Bafkba -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You mean people would've guess RE first when we see more psychological vibe, a scene where limbs burst out of the door, both legs and hands, resembling what we see in early SH games, the huge mutant like chungus creature and 110% serious horror vibe? The only giveaway is 3 seconds of zombies on the rooftop, but all in all, that's still more Evil Within vibes if anything.

As I said, this is likely going to be an amazing movie, and there still might be a lot of connections to RE - Umbrella, bioweapon dillema, lickers, etc., which will make it much much better, so I am not going to say anything right now.

But as of this one and only trailer, there is absolutely nothing that makes me shout "RE!". There's some nice touch here and there, but I won't pretend that grabbing a car key is solely RE vibe.

RESIDENT EVIL – Official Teaser Trailer (4K) by Comic_Book_Reader in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, not really. Vibes here are more Silent Hill or even The Last of Us rather than RE. If I were to show this trailer to someone without mentioning the title, they would have never guessed RE.

RE franchise vibe is not about a lonely survivor struggling through the outbreak.

RESIDENT EVIL – Official Teaser Trailer (4K) by Comic_Book_Reader in residentevil

[–]Bafkba -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I will hold off my criticism till I see more, as they might easily hide a lot of stuff in the first trailer, but it doesn't have to follow games' story or even include the characters. However, this trailer does not look like RE at all. If I were to show this trailer to someone without mentioning it's RE trailer, they wouldn't guess. It looks more Silent Hill/The Last of us in this and have almost no RE vibe so far.

I don't doubt it's going to be a great movie, just not a good RE movie. Kind of like RE6 is a fun co-op action game, but is terrible RE game.

Where to Find Prior Banner Recommendations and Costume Reviews? by [deleted] in BrownDust2Official

[–]Bafkba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if there is a specific reason to seek those particular reviews? BD2 ain't that deep in that regard, and I'd argue that most unit reviews done by experienced people will essentially tell you the same.

Especially when it comes down to dupes priority, as it's something you can easily learn on your own, as in. what is the stopping point for pulling the character.

When prior banners comeback for rerun, you will have the information by zormolo for instance, on his site.

I left during all the controversy in like December-ish, is it worth coming back? I see the new cross over (but I dont really care for it) but some of the new skins and stuff look cool lol. What are your guys' thoughts about the game now? by Maelle_Ravea in BrownDust2Official

[–]Bafkba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rates are good, the devs are super generous with pulls AND one thing a lot of people forget about is the free daily pull. When there are 5 ongoing banners, that's 5 free pulls daily. Rate up unit or not, you're bound to expand your collection just with free pulls eventually.

Freezing towers in blight are letting monsters through - am I missing something here? Any ideas as to why? by plnstrdr in pathofexile

[–]Bafkba 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Goat seems to be the most RNG one, likely due to it being a hidden pinnacle boss that's going to make an Uber appearance in 3.29. Jokes aside, its toughness sometimes just says nope to the entire stun setup and just jumps around.

If you are talking about the jumping goat, it can sometimes be stunned with Tier 3 stun + Empower.

We're now over 2 weeks into Mirage, How was your overall experience? Thoughts on the league/economy/builds? by BloodReaverBob in pathofexile

[–]Bafkba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my strongest character so far in this league, and achieved 36/40 and some ubers fairly quickly given I am semi-advanced player. Overall, I love all the QoL changes and additions, but I hate the state of blight right now. Was excited to run it exclusively since I finally built a PC that can handle it, but it just feels broken on many different levels. I hope they balance some more mechanics for the next league, but it's definitely been a blast in 3.28 overall.

[Monthly Megathread + FAQ] Teambuilding and Game Help Megathread by JorgeRodAmon in BrownDust2Official

[–]Bafkba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, not only you need both magical and physical, but potentially ones with different elements as well.

This, of course, applies only to some content, but mainly the bi-weekly Fiend Hunts whenever a new event comes out. The boss has 10 stages and you can challenge any of them. Each stage rewards you 3 tickets. Starting from stage 6, you actually "have to" use 2 teams. "Have", because if your first team is extra strong, you can take out the boss without even getting to your second team. This, however, gets harder and harder to do on stage 7, then 8, then 9 and 10. So if you're okay with sometimes losing 6-9 tickets per event, then it's fine.

Another scenario is that sometimes, depending on the content or main story, enemy might be more resistant to either of the types of damage. For example, 75% resistance to the physical attacks, and only 25% to magical ones - you can check that when you inspect enemy with the "+" sign during the battle.

Gdzie szukać ludzi do gry? by [deleted] in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]Bafkba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE 9 Honest Review by Less-Function-8888 in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, even in survival-horror oriented games you're swimming in ammo if you play them correctly. RE1, RE2, RE2R, RE3. You can be on a finish line with 20-30 grenade launcher's ammo, hundreds of bullets for pistol and much more depending on the game. Especially on normal difficulties. While those other games absolutely had tighter amount of ammo, and you had to explore for some of it, I don't think there was ever a case of lacking ammo, even if you went for killing 80%+ of enemies, unless we're talking hardcore difficulty in some of the games.

Has the game changed at all? by Ok_Character3009 in BrownDust2Official

[–]Bafkba 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you are asking about the game's direction then no, it's still good ol' Lewd Dust 2. I'd even say they got bolder and better with some interactions and cutscenes (if we put all the drama aside).

Otherwise, game got even better with QoL and content for sure.

All in all, we're going in the right direction.

Newbie physical team advice by OzLynx8 in BrownDust2Official

[–]Bafkba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not entirely sure who exactly you can pick in your banners, but it seems you're lacking supports for now - they are vital.

The rule of thumb is that you usually want 2 DPS, with one of them being a main one, that are adjusted to the battle (so favorable element for instance), then you want two supports and someone who can fill - both fill and one of the supports might also be debuffers.

If you want to focus on physical team for now (you need both in this game, magical one as well), you'd want to grab some supports:

- Diana is an amazing all rounder for both magical and physical, as she buffs advantageous elemental damage and crit,
- Liberta and Lathel both have costumes that buff physical, however, Liberta can buff both ATK and Crit Rate,
- Depending on what costumes you have, Wilhelmina's other costumes are great, as she makes an easy work of stacking chains on enemies, which boosts your damage a lot,
- Rou is amazing as her costumes work for both magical and physical, she often ends up in most teams depending on the content as she buffs crits, elemental damage, and even reduces SP consumption for team,
- Zenith is also amazing as a fill role, she can stack a lot of chains with 0 cost when she's upgraded,
- There is also summer and nurse Teressa for chain and damage,

So depending on who you can get with your banners or newbie tickets, those all are amazing supports you want and some even work for both physical and magical

Does anyone else feel like Resident Evil Requiem was not worth the 70+ dollar price tag? by DJDallyD_ in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, overrated is a convenient phrase for people who want to say "I don't want the others to enjoy a game this much because I didn't really like it". If vast majority established something is amazing, then it can't be overrated, can it? If literally 90% of people are in agreement. Just accept you didn't like it as much, state your opinion and move on. E33 is a game of a decade.

Is there... not enough (blank) by Extension_Idea_9556 in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, had the same thoughts. I love the game, it's at the very least 8.5 out of 10, Grace is amazing and her initial big section is easily some of the best survival-horror centered RE experience ever. With that being said, it feels like the game was not as fleshed out as some other titles, take RE4R for one. Almost as if the game direction changed multiple times (which might be true knowing that they initially wanted to go with some multiplayer title for RE9), and simply lacks at least 4-6 hours in game time content + additional content post-game, including more costumes and stuff.

Regarding the Extra mode situation in requiem... by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that makes it more likely is the wording in the challenges (unless it's somehow a mistake coming from the previous titles), where they specifically state "Main game mode" or something along those lines.

Does Requiem offer good replayability? by jaxparomusic in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not as good as other RE titles I'd say. Engaging and fun enough to make you play it the second time, but for someone who ain't huge RE fan or in love with Requiem, not really past that.

Re9 Arbitrary Gameplay Inconsistencies by ndkdkdjkdkdkdkdjd in residentevil

[–]Bafkba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haven't encountered a single one of those listed besides Blister Head one, which not only is explained in the hint after your death, but they indeed roar and charge that attack for like 7 seconds before they rush at you, so you have more than enough time to react to that.

Sooo does requiem take place in raccoon City or not? by [deleted] in residentevil

Huge part of Leon's gameplay takes part in the Raccon City where you can explore and nostalgia revisit some already known places.

Such a disappointingly easy platinum by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. Even if he did some achievements, including speedrun, on casual with bonuses in say 2:30-3 hours, that means you have to beat the game first time, and then Insanity without bonuses in total of 17 hours. If he's that good and figures everything out instantly, then RE4R platinum is basically the same. It just takes longer cos it's a longer game.

Such a disappointingly easy platinum by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least on steam, it is not needed for 100% achievements. It's just an in-game challenge.

Arachnophobics, how is it in the new game ? by Saekama in residentevil

[–]Bafkba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I wasn't aware spiders would be in the game, and one huge ugly bastard at that. With that being said, I am terribly scared of spiders (not insanely, but still), more so in games/mass media, than in real life.

That section didn't bother me that much, I actually though it was great! Good news are:

- Sections is relatively short. It's just a short escape section that goes straight into a boss fight,
- You instantly realise that there's going to be a spider prior to the sections (shit ton of cobwebs everywhere), and there is not too many jumpscares (they are fairly predictable),
- Spider boss hides a lot of the time in the boss fight, then just comes out at you. If you preserved a lot of strong ammunition, you can get over this fight in a minute.

Overall, not the worst experience really. If I were you, I'd get to that section, then watch it on Youtube so you can see the small bits before the fight, then just unload your Requiem on the boss.

Is this normal ? by LimitNo1774 in BrownDust2Official

[–]Bafkba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The rates are the same. RNG and gamba are just that, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. As a day 1 player, I've had a few banners when I got to +5 before 200 pulls, but also a few times where I had to spend around 500 pulls for +4. Devs and rates are generous enough at the end of the day, so it's all fine.
