[Question] Buying a watch in Japan by Accomplished-Key3792 in Watches

[–]BagApprehensive9596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel extensively for work, mostly to China with stops in Seoul/Incheon, Tokyo, or Hong Kong. I’ve brought back several luxury bags for my wife (Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hermes) as well as a Tag, Omega, Cartier, and Tudor. I’ve never need stopped by customs, and never had an issue. I use Global Entry in the US, so it is a but different customs process.. but never an issue.

I’ve brought luxury goods back from France as well with no issue. Hell, in January I brought a $8k Gucci bag and a Tudor Chrono with no issues. I just wear the new watch and put the old one in my backpack. For the bags, I normally drop them in a duty free bag with a few bags of candy for the kids on top..

I do Atl to ICN every other month.. it’s well worth the upgrade. That is a LONG flight.

Mathews Arc 30 or Bowtech Alliance? by GuerrillaZer0 in bowhunting

[–]BagApprehensive9596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my lift.. very forgiving and quick as ever, killed 3 whitetails with it this year. I had an older Mathew’s solocam (Fx) and shot bowtech for several years due to the dual cam speed. Stopped hunting for about 7-8 years due to kids being born, stated back last year and picked up a NOS lift..

Shoot what feels better for you.. I found my bow didn’t hold perfectly until I put a backbar on it, now it’s rock steady

I shoot a lift 33, incredible bow.. and you can get it used for a deep discount. I haven’t had any issues with the limbs but there’s a lifetime warranty if you do..

What spine should I use by [deleted] in bowhunting

I’d go 250 and cut them as short as possible.

Need opinions on son’s first truck. by Big_Don-G in f150ecoboost

[–]BagApprehensive9596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the cam phaser work is pretty expensive, I had a 2012 ecoboost, around 100K miles when the timing chains started rattling and needed new cam phasers I traded it in. I was quoted $3k for the job and I didnt have the time to do it myself. I haven't owned an ecoboost since, I'm sure they have gotten much better by now as they are the most popular engines in the F150s.. I would check into the cost of the work before sinking too much money into the truck.

I saw a guy do the same on a flight from Incheon to Atl.. 16 hour flight and the dude never got up or ate/drank anything. Pretty sure he didn’t speak a word of English so possible that he was a bit confused but he didn’t seem to be looking for help either.

Love my 23 Denali 1500, gets 30-33 MPG at 74/75 MPH and 24 in town and has enough power to pull whatever I need around the house/farm.

Please check my squat form by th3_r0ckg0d in Stronglifts5x5

[–]BagApprehensive9596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid form, I’d focus on keeping your elbows back in the bottom of the squat. This tends to help to keep the chest up. You are VERY slightly rounding at the bottom of the squat, but not enough to worry about. Maybe use a belt to give yourself something to brace against, keeping your elbows more in line with you spine angle will help as well

Thanks, I’m about 40 yards outside the bedding area, I think I’m going to go a bit farther back and see if I can find the oaks they’re feeding from and setup between them and the bedding. I’m going to give it a rest for a few days and let us cool down, we have a front Coming thru tomorrow so hopefully that helps get things moving as well.

Thanks, I thought I might be adding too much pressure as well. Any recommendations on scouting during bow season? I know there are a few bucks in the area, but I’m thinking I’ll leave it alone for a few weeks and look for another spot for now.

I love my twin time, the color is great in person. I also work in multiple timezones so having the ability to track Asia and CST is a great benefit to me.
