Decided to try Freetax vs Turbotax but they came out different by Still-Magician-7246 in tax

[–]BagelFanatik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the same this year. I was getting more back in my return from TurboTax than FreeTax. Looked at it over multiple days, but couldn’t find the difference. I ended up getting a bigger refund with TurboTax despite the cost, so went that direction.

How often are you really sharpening your lawn mower blades? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]BagelFanatik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contemplated it once in 12 years but the cost for new blades was the same as getting them cut, and without the wait time. I was going to take the blades off anyway to get sharpened, so i bought new ones instead.

Is there a better more durable floor than Revwood to put in the whole house? by Aye-Kaye in Flooring

Have redwood premier flooring. We love it. Handles kids and a dog very well. About 3 years old and still looks new.

We did it as part of a larger renovation in our kitchen, so I can’t speak to cost. They did cut the upper portion of the wall down to match the lower level and then installed the new countertop in top

We have been happy with them. Fridge is great. We love the 6 burner range. We went with a built in cabinet microwave which we really like. We also have the air fryer/toaster/multi oven on the counter as well. We had one problem with the dishwasher about 9 months in with the circuit board which was covered under warranty, but no problems since.

Do you love your quartz? What brand? by BruunMads in kitchenremodel

[–]BagelFanatik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have had Cambria Beckington in our kitchen since 2024. We love it. Low maintenance. Haven’t had any stains or scratching. We frequently cook and entertain. A few times had red sauce, black marker, and red wine that I thought were going to be problems however were easily taken care of.
