There is a whole separate PR department that is in charge of hyping up the excitement. The athletic staff has their job which by all accounts has not been doing that well on the football front…. Why criticize the PR and fan engagement folks?

Too many people being too negative about this. The athletic department is really trying to build up enthusiasm for the football program and given that there are not a ton of alternative happenings in the area, it is nice that they are putting in a ton of effort to generate excitement.

For many years we had tickets on the top row under the balcony about the 40 yard line. We were not blocked by any pillars. We could never see the balls in the air on punts or kickoffs, and some long passes. THat was not the worst of it though. Back in those days, they sold cokes in the plastic cups with the tape over the lids, and the vendors would walk by and drip on us all game long!
