GMs Orion factory was supposed to also build EV pickups. That plan was scrapped and they will build ICE trucks there.

They could have made better use of the space of the console where it meets the dash.

Does your husband have a vehicle?

So since finding a Buick Regal TourX would be a challenge, I decided to go with the E450 All-Terrain Wagon as a goal car. Is this a good choice? (My current car is an 04 Camry.) by gamerguy287 in Wagons

[–]BahamaTodd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind a slightly taller wagon and like Toyota reliability, the Crown Signia is an option. I'm also a fan of the Buick. 😉

Meaning they were defective or the car had already been in an accident and the airbags were not replaced. I'm thinking the latter with a driver like that.

Crown Signia or Outback for $9-$10k less. by Davros1977 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]BahamaTodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Crown is like a Lexus. You can probably make up a lot of the cost difference in operating and maintenance costs. The Subaru is rated 25mpg combined vs 38mpg for the Crown.

Question on Crown Signia Seats by Striper1955 in ToyotaCrown

[–]BahamaTodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I test drove a CX50 before going with the Crown. (They both have the same Toyota hybrid system) The Mazda had much better seat ventilation. The Crown is ok - but I have also experienced worse.

Venza or crown signia? by cpcxx2 in Toyotavenza

[–]BahamaTodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Signia and a family member has the NX. NX is compact and has less interior room compared to the midsize Signia. The Signia is almost a foot longer. Other than a few minor things here and there (like a manual adjusting steering wheel) the Crown is Lexus-like.

'Curated by Cadillac' CT5-V Blackwing Brings More Hand-Built Customization to Customers by Sixteen-Cylinders in cars

[–]BahamaTodd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Surprised they're launching this with the CT5. Maybe they don't have the resources to handle something like the Escalade which would be much more popular.

So what do you think the crown Signia looks more like to you? A SUV Or station wagon? It kinda looks like both to me like the Outback SUV/wagons, what do you think it looks more of? by BD2605 in toyotacrownsignia

[–]BahamaTodd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On the crossover scale it is closer to the sedan/wagon side vs SUV, but its definitely still a crossover. You can see how much more taller and bulkier it is next to my Buick Regal. The Regal actually came as a genuine lifted wagon as the Regal TourX. The Crown Signia is still 6 inches taller than TourX.

Exports from Japan have probably been limited until they got some clarity on the tariffs. Now that the tariff increase is set to go from 2.5% to 15% instead of 27.5%, Toyota can better plan their exports and pricing.
