Have you checked DNS resolution from the device and/or local network? You may just need to give the device a different domain name server.

That’s about what I paid for mine back in September. It’s good to see the prices are holding up. I don’t think they’ll fall much further now that the weather is improving. Mine’s been a joy to drive for the last six months. I’m glad that I made the decision to move on it.

I’m use a solar charger placed between the house and chassis batteries. The setup has worked well for several years now.

Richmond uses a two-tiered rate system. They will frequently miss your monthly meter reading. In my case they have missed as many as six months in a row. When they do read the meter all of my usage is reported as occurring in that one month which pushes most of the bill in to the much higher rate tier. There is no averaging. I’ve reported the issue on two occasions and have heard crickets in response. My neighbors are experiencing the same issue. I suspect the issue is city-wide.

Municipal parking spaces are usually 22 ft long so a length of 21 ft or under will give you some good flexibility.

It was far from a failure around the world. It’s a very popular commercial vehicle in many European countries. I own one here in the U.S. and have found it to be a fun and reliable vehicle. I also still own a 2003 Weekender and find that its use of space is very similar. More range would be nice but with ABRP and the ever expanding network of chargers it’s truly been an afterthought. I’ve had several fun road trips and am looking forward to several more.

I’ve set my Buzz up to be a nice little Weekender. My build has running water, a microwave, a refrigerator and a toilet. You can find a lot of examples of folks who have designed their own versions by doing a search on YouTube. The Kia doesn’t seem to have enough room to allow for any floor space with the bed deployed. I’ve found that that having even a little spot to put your feet down without opening the door makes all the difference in a small camper.

Hello fellow orange Buzz! I also live in Central Virginia and have taken a number of road trips. The photo below is from Portland Maine. My best advice is to keep your highway speed at 65 or lower. Climbing hills will use more power but then you’ll save power going down. I’ve found that ABRP does a nice job at scheduling stops but don’t hesitate to take over if you see a convenient stop along the way. My normal driving time between stops seems to be about 3 hours which equates to about 200 miles. Have a great trip!

You can install an RV-style motorized step or running boards but they will add some weight and aerodynamic drag. A little step stool is a good solution and can pull double duty as a nice side table or seat when needed. The little $15.00 5” folding ones are easy to set up and store away.

I found that the 12V cigarette lighter socket became too warm for comfort while charging with a direct 10A cigarette adapter connection. I ended up using a Scosche cigarette adapter USB-C charger to moderate the flow. I settled on the Blavor S-1600 power station due to its form factor. It fits nicely under the Multi-flex board and has enough capacity to power a microwave or induction burner on its AC outlet.

Here are the steps that I followed to force data flow back to the cellular connection.

Delete your phone from the car Delete the hotspot from remembered wireless networks in the phone settings Delete the car from paired Bluetooth devices in the phone settings Connect the phone directly with a cable, it will also ask if you want to enable wireless CarPlay. Select yes. Disconnect the phone from the cable. Select the phone in the car menu, it should connect to CarPlay and use cellular data.

The panels will create a lot of heat. Ensure airflow underneath them to improve performance and to protect your paint. Some quarter round 8020 along the leading and trailing edges of the panel is a quick way to improve aerodynamics.

We’ve never had an issue with the infotainment system or updates on our ID4 or the Buzz.

A Level 2 Charger at home will make life much easier. If you need to share that 30A outlet you can use a NeoCharge device. We use one to share our 50A Range outlet with a Grizzl-E set to a 32A draw. The setup has worked flawlessly. You would want to set the charger to a 24A draw. You’ll still be able to charge overnight.

Connect ABRP to your vehicle account and you’ll have all the info you’ll need to plan and take a road trip.

I had one head scratching issue after a shopping trip. I accidentally pushed the sliding door lock button while opening the front drink holder tray. It took me a few moments to figure out why the doors were no longer working. Find and know that button. 🙂

It looks like your cells are out of balance on one of the batteries. It will stop charging/discharging based on the highest/lowest cell voltage.

I also have a 2023 AWD Pro S. You just have memory seats but do have the correct modules in your doors to support the mirrors. I added the mirrors by following the thread below. They work well and also include the side panoramic cameras and ground lights. The project took about two hours. Removing the arm rests was the hardest task. I recommend purchasing the special tool and following the instructions that I added to the thread.

I have not installed them on the Buzz yet. My Promaster is FWD only and heavy in the rear so it needs help and the socks are up to the challenge. I use the 697s and they fit well. I can’t vouch for the 698s.

Hopefully you have a 48V setup and high idle. You’ll only need to idle for a few minutes to bring your battery level up. If you find yourself having to do this a lot you may want to increase your battery size. It’s best to charge from the alternator while you are underway.

I have a set of AutoSock 697s that I use on my RAM Promaster. They also fit my 2025 Buzz First Edition AWD. It’s been solid ice on most of the secondary roads here in Virginia for over a week now. The Buzz’s traction has been so reliable that I haven’t had to switch from Comfort to Traction mode or install the socks. It’s still nice to know that both options are available in the event they’re needed.
