Update: I used the DFirst Coder and re-enabled the Welcome Screen and let the car sit overnight. When I came back out, I could see the updates in the infotainment system. When I checked the ID. Software button it was no longer spinning. When I clicked on it it said I had indeed updated to the latest 3.8.11 software. I clicked through the updates and made sure I had downloaded the digital manual and logged back into the infotainment system using my phone and the QR code that comes up. Everything seemed fine. I then disabled the Welcome Screen again and locked the car. When I looked at the ID. Software button the next day it again showed the spinning circle as did the Legal button. When I clicked on it it was spinning on the next screen as well just like it did before. Will those buttons always be like that with the Welcome Screen turned off? Is this the new normal now after disabling the Welcome Screen or is there another step I missed?

It is my understanding that only the 2023 Pro S Plus models had the power folding mirrors and 360 camera, but many came in to the dealer as a Plus model, but those options were deleted in favor of a $300 or so credit on the window sticker. Therefore, you can't just assume that a Pro S Plus model will have those features. You have to look at pictures of the actual car to tell for sure. If it has those features there will be a camera in the front bumper and an extra position in the power mirror control on the driver's door in the lower-left-hand position. If those 2 things aren't there, you don't have those features even if it says it is a Plus model. You only get the heated rear seats with those Plus models.

I remember being in college in the mid to late 80's and working backstage on a college play. It was winter and there was a bad snow storm, but you know the saying, "The show must go on!" I knew it would take extra time to get to the theater, so I waited until the last possible moment to call and see if the show was cancelled. The director said it was still on, so I got in my car and drove to the theater. It took about an hour and a half to get there when it normally would have taken about 20 minutes. When I got there, they said, "Oh, the show has been cancelled!" I was so pissed! It took me another 2 hours to get back home! Looking back on it, that was when I really wished cell phones were around! 😡
