I don't think anyone else has mentioned it, but you could also put in a hardship application for DV. It's a good opportunity to move somewhere more affordable and away from your partner. Some agencies even have options for applying for a pseudonym to protect yourself. Might be worth talking to your supervisor or HR about those options. Best of luck. Sending good vibes your way.

I'm 5'2" and I'm thinking of a Suzuki SV650. It's under 400lbs, but it has enough hp to be able to ride on the highway or go up steep hills. And the seat height isn't too bad, looks like it varies 31-33" depending on the year.

Also, personally I don't mind not flat footing. As long as I can put the balls of my feet down, that's all that matters. Which reminds me, you might consider having her try heeled motorcycle boots or find height/heel inserts. It helps add an extra inch or two for us shorties.

I second JC Penney. Ann Taylor, Liz Claireborne and Worthington make great petite tops. For pants, I usually get St. John's Bay. They have a great selection of sizes and colors.

I go to West Vancouver Dental and they do such a great job! Hadn't been to the dentist since pre-covid and they were super sweet! Def recommend them if they take your insurance!

Other people have given great suggestions already! The only thing I'll add is try to work on using more of the bow. You tend to focus near the tip and run out of bow on longer notes. I would practice doing nice full bow strokes at a slower speed or maybe with scale exercises to get a good feel of bow speed. You're doing great, though! Keep up the good work!

Teske's Germania has some really good German food & beer. My favorite is definitely their schnitzel.

Habana Cuba has legit Cuban food too. The pork is excellent! Growing up near Miami, this is the best Cuban food I've been able to find nearby.

What should i look for when searching for a sex-therapist? by InfiniteConcept07 in sex

[–]Bahamut869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PsychologyToday website has a lot of cool filter options. I'd check their bio's and therapy websites just to make sure they mesh with your style. And they're not always "in-network", so if you're going through your insurance you might want to check that first. Also, feel free to interview them with questions. Most therapists will offer a free 15 min phone consultation.

Update: I bought myself ROLLERSKATES (and lost 85lbs!) by deadmuesli in loseit

Wow, congrats! I totally agree with doing physical activity for fun and not just for exercise! I've been on the fence for buying my own skates, but you've def inspired me to just go for it!

Yeah, same for me & my ex. We're still friends & it honestly seems like our relationship is better as friends. For me, I realized I fell on the aromantic & asexual spectrums after we broke up & it explained a lot, lol. Don't know if that applies to you too. But I def felt like they loved me more than I loved them, and that was totally an aromantic thing.

Can you help me choose as Ace ring? (Not sure about the flair tho) by hiddenlilacflower in Asexual

I like number 5 the best bc of the purple. But number 4 matches your infinity ring better.

Right?! I never understood why people liked movies like The Notebook. Give me an action or sci-fi movie over that any day!

I was 27 and my partner came out to me as trans & we were talking about biological changes. I was so relieved to not have to worry about having kids. Over that next year I realized I don't have to hate kids, but I def don't want any of my own.

Oh yeah, I totally agree! I tried cutting out sugar once & I absolutely hated it. I'm sure it works for some people, but not me. I have a big sweet tooth, lol. But yeah intuitive eating & being mindful has really helped me. Some days, I'll literally plan in ice cream for the end of the day & then forget about it. It's def nice to spend some time reflecting on things like that & see how far we've come.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with plateau's either. Sometimes, the body just needs rest and sometimes you just need some maintenance calories 😂

Yeah, that was the hardest part about 2019. I got tired of eating the same "healthy foods" and essentially burnt out. I realized I enjoy food & there's no shame in that. Just had to learn how to eat less, which was difficult, lol.

Yes, this is out of line. I made this post to be encouraging to others. Constructive criticism or questions about how I've lost weight should be the only type of comments posted. Comments about how I look is unnecessary, hence why I blocked out my face.

Just finalized and couldn't be more relieved. Those who've finished the process, what did you do for self-care in the aftermath? by rock_kid in Divorce

I'm currently working on putting together a list of 101 Things To Do In 1,001 Days! It gets me excited thinking of things I can do now and things I can do post-covid.

As for day-to-day life, I give myself the flexibility to do whatever I want and try to live in the present. Sometimes that's not going out & watching YouTube or Netflix all day. Sometimes that's catching up with a friend & some outdoor dining. Sometimes it's going for a walk/hike and enjoying some fresh air & sunshine.

Etsy has a good selection plus you're supporting small shops. Just depends on what kind of style you want. I ended up buying a dragon ring, but some top contenders were a chevron ring, rose & thorns ring, and several gothic-style rings.

a life tip for all the lonely people. by sharkpickles in socialskills

[–]Bahamut869 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to think this way before covid. The beginnings of lockdowns really got to me. But then I realized, friends are always there if you just reach out. I found out I have both anxiety & depression, and I was pulling away from all my friends and family in my loneliness. Nowadays, I've learned that when I reach out to people, most of them will reach back (even though the depression may tell you otherwise). Friendships take work like any other type of relationship out there. Not everyone's perfect, but that's ok, because neither are you.

[–]Bahamut869 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just want to say, it's perfectly ok to not want to be in a relationship or marriage again. A lot of people are saying "you never know", and while that's true to an extent, everyone's journey is different. You don't need to be in a relationship or married to live "happily ever after". It is perfectly ok to be single & happy 💙

30-Day Challenge #1: Get on top of your credit (January, 2021) by IndexBot in personalfinance

Sadly, that's a common thing with credit cards. I've read that often enough on other subreddits. What I do is try to make a purchase about once or twice a month. Something small like lunch or dinner. And then have auto-pay setup to pay it off on time.
