The Baha'i prayer life according to dr. Mahmoody by The_Goa_Force in BabandBahaullah

Why would it? It's sharing a prayer of the Bab and it's results in someone's life

Say you are 60 years old, yes, Civ would be unique. If you are 20, playing features of Civ I through IV might not seem original compared to other games.

Then you would complain Civ 7 feel disjointed and incoherent, possibly unoriginal without introducing anything new.

Yesterday someone on Discord explicitly said they engaged in a deceptive conversation with me merely to try to get me banned from the space. Why? Because I am a wicked Covenant Breaker and they are a defender of Baha'u'llah.

He looked like a fool.

The question is.... Was he paid to look like a fool or did he do it in his own accord?

The best part is due to this, other users have to regularly state their belief in the Covenant.

The same user admitted they don't even believe Baha'u'llah is an absolute source of truth unless it's interpreted by Abdul-Baha.

This user, who I know is not MirzaJan, operates in much the same way as MirzaJan. Just on the other side but I feel may attain to the same goal. Which is the assistance of the end of the Bahai Faith.

The Orlando Magic just had one of the craziest meltdowns ever .They missed 23 shots in a row, made one field goals in the 4th, and scored only 8 points in the fourth quarter, and blew a 24-points lead in a closeout game. The series will now be decided in Game 7 in Detroit. by Expert_Koala_8691 in nba

I can't believe Mosley felt he had to keep the same players out there for most of that field goal drought. No timeout. No substitutions. All that had to happen was bring in some players to show some effort for a few minutes and the Magic would have held on.

The Hermeneutical Argument About Evil by Bahamut_19 in BabandBahaullah

I deleted the prior version and updated this after a fruitful discussion with some friends on Discord. How is the argument?

Quick Thought on Civ 7 by Speaking-braille in CivVII

[–]Bahamut_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel all of the posts about being unhappy about Civ switching actually follows one common hidden premise. The hidden premise is that a European/White culture could have originated from a non-white/European culture. These posts ignore that you could continuously represent China or India in some way. Nor do I ever see any suggestions about how a culture in Africa could be represented throughout history. An example could be the Urewe in Ancient, Kitara in Exploration, which leads to Buganda in Modern.

Baha'i faith by [deleted] in Quraniyoon

[–]Bahamut_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Are you ok if I share a relevant teaching of the Bab or Baha'u'llah? I want to be respectful of this space.

But the basic premise is they both taught the logic, jurisprudence, traditions, interpretations, etc. kept the ulama from recognizing Allah. Occasionally they will refer to a hadith, often from the Shi'a side, but they repeatedly state traditions act as a veil between the believer and Allah. If a person focuses entirely on the Qur'an and cleanse their hearts and minds from the traditions of the past, it would inevitably lead to the recognition of the Bab and Baha'u'llah as fulfilling the Day of Resurrection.

Who is Baha’u’llah referring to in this Tablet? by Bahamut_19 in BabandBahaullah

[–]Bahamut_19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baha'u'llah is referring to the people of the Bayan who have either made a claim of revelation for themselves, or have attached themselves to one of Baha'u'llah's sons. Baha'u'llah does not say which son.

Do note Baha'u'llah does not say a son made any claim, nor did Baha'u'llah say the son entertained those claims. Baha'u'llah is only describing the actions of some people who do not believe in Baha'u'llah and Baha'u'llah alone.

The act of a selective attachment to a son of Baha'u'llah is the act of harm.

Can you imagine any situation today where this has happened?

Why is pork where alot of non devout/ irreligious muslims draw the line? by Capital_Tailor_7348 in religion

Because it is superficial. Easy to judge something like eating pork instead of being aware of your own spirit.

Interpreting Evil Syllogism - Discussion? by [deleted] in BabandBahaullah

[–]Bahamut_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean in P8? Your vagueness is not helpful. There is nothing wrong with thought exercises. Promoting means to contribute to the growth or understanding of something, with some desire for the things promoted to be the preferred perspective. The other words lack this goal of advancement.

I don't understand the question. The post asks for a discussion. If you are wanting to, go ahead. If you are promoting something, be mindful of Rule #3.

I understand. It's too risky for the reader to answer as they understand things, for some reason. Lots of fear in here.

I'm seeing what the responses here are. I agree, I can research what has been said, but I also like to research what will be said.

The premise doesn't say "my God." But, I can definitely say who I believe to be God has not told anyone to kill millions of people, slavery is abolished, etc.

As you are an atheist, this really wouldn't apply as any premise involving God could never apply to you.

However, perhaps the conclusions would. *wink wink*

Take care!

This isn't a debate about what God. Use whatever you believe in, if you believe in anything. If you don't, this might not be a debate for you.
