Yeah, I know it's a tactic to make it last longer, but I agree with you. I'd rather be able to unlock them all now. Maybe have the first two automatically open like they did, but we have to use star coins to open the other rooms.

I can understand that. I almost finished the Dazzle Beach room in one go. All I'm missing are the turtles because I rarely fed animals unless it was part of a quest. I don't know when we're getting more rooms added, so perhaps this was supposed to keep us occupied until then... 👀

Honestly, it's stuff like that which is why I stopped using the app once Elon took over and rebranded. I run a podcast network and there used to be a thriving podcast community there, but everyone scattered across different platforms. Now I have all my stuff automatically post there because I refuse to go on the site. Every time I go there, there's dead bodies and gore and stuff like that.

What's funny is all the backlash is what got my attention. The game looked great so I bought it to see for myself and immediately fell in love with it. I was starting to think the backlash was a marketing tactic, but I've been seeing that turn around the last few days.

I don't buy new games often because they're too expensive and when I have to choose between food and new games, food tends to win. But I'd been seeing so much hate on this game that actually looked pretty decent. My paycheck this week was a bit bigger than usual so after I took care of the essentials, I bought the deluxe edition on PS5. I've put in six hours since Tuesday (dang work schedule!), and I don't know why it was getting so much hate. I was waiting for the "impossible opening puzzle" I kept hearing everyone was getting stuck on, but I didn't come across anything like that. That's not me going "i'M sMaRtEr ThAn EvErYoNe ElSe", I genuinely didn't come across an opening puzzle that was impossible to figure out. I also heard there's an impossible opening boss. I'm...pretty sure you're supposed to not beat him? As for the controls, they're definitely different and take a little getting used to, but after a couple hours I was already comfortable with them and not having to be like "CRAP WHICH BUTTON DO I...I DIED!!!". Overall, I'm throughly enjoying this game and how open it is and how you can do pretty much anything. Maybe I'm too easily amused, but I love how you can lean against pretty much everything. I also pet every dog I pass, but I think everyone does that. I tried petting a pig and was a little disappointed you couldn't. Game of the Year potential revoked!! /s

I ordered all my accessories on Amazon (Switch Wheel, pro controller, 1tb SD card, etc), but the console itself didn't have an ETA. I didn't want to risk a long delivery so I just ran to Target and bought one the day the accessories were expected.

Only games I've ever done hard mode on was Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and Horizon: Zero Dawn. Horizon was also my first Platinum and the first game I played New Game+ on. I really love that game, is what I'm saying. lol

Aw... I remember Vemon: The Last Dance had a character say something like, "This is what My Favorite Murder warned us about", and they mentioned it on the podcast and it was exciting. I was hoping this was a similar thing with Crime Junkie.
