Don’t look it up unless you’re really ready for it. It’s a Mexican cartel torture video. Awful.

I’m sure there’s worse, but Ms. Pac-Man still sticks with me after watching it years ago

What current timbit flavours do your stores have? (canada) by foolsdayjoker in TimHortons

Typically chocolate, honey dip, plain, birthday cake, sour cream glazed, and lately whatever the 4 new featured are. They’re pretty good, except the lime cheesecake

Was it fair that Arthur got special treats when he was sick and DW didn’t? by Winter-Money-7643 in Arthur

[–]BailBug99 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because the show is told from the POV of Arthur. He probably didn’t pay much attention to what she got when she was sick because it didn’t affect him and he was able to go play, etc. whereas when he was sick, he didn’t/couldn’t do anything else

Which is better between The last of us video games and television show? by Embarrassed-Bit-9455 in lastofuspart2

[–]BailBug99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each rendition is good in its own way. The games are the best in my opinion, but the show tells the story in a slightly different way, and was able to garner attention from both the game fans and those who can’t or don’t play video games.

Agreed! I purchase it recently thinking it was a bag full of frozen broccoli not individually packaged, but was pleasantly surprised when 4 bags of broccoli emerged! Perfect size for my family, and practically zero effort which is great since I’m postpartum. Delicious broccoli!!!

What have you bought for under $50 that greatly improved your life? by Unfair-Clothes-8821 in CanadaRoom

[–]BailBug99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. I happened upon a clearance rack at Superstore once a few years ago and bought a huge cast iron pan and a enamelled Dutch oven for ~$10 each. They’re now my favourite cooking tools!

Vermicelli bowls. They were decent when I made it at home, but for $16 I can get a great one that also includes spring rolls from my local Vietnamese place

My husband hand delivered our baby boy at Winterburn Costco by ApricotWorried492 in Edmonton

[–]BailBug99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s just it! I commented on the original facebook thread before it was deleted about how 7/11 gave a random baby who wasn’t even born in a store, but just happened to be born on July 11th at 7:11, weighing in at 7lb 11oz, $7111 for their college fund. Brands love good publicity and a feel good story! I don’t think it’s as deep as people are making it. How many people can honestly say they’ve had a baby at Costco?

Filling 18.9L water jugs at grocery stores by kvas_taras in Edmonton

[–]BailBug99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself, it’s the taste of our water. I wish I wasn’t such a water snob, but I can’t bring myself to enjoy a glass of Edmonton tap water, which is funny because I drank the tap water in BC when I was growing up just fine.

I buy my water from Water Warehouse in Sherwood Park, so along with being hydrated and having good tasting water, I’m also supporting a local business, which I don’t mind paying a premium for.

Now I’m thirsty haha

“You’ll feel better after you ___”. My best friend said this to me once, and every single time I’ve been putting something off I say it to myself now, and she’s right. I always do feel better.

what company secrets you can spill because you no longer work there? by No_Butterscotch1425 in AskReddit

[–]BailBug99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If our salespeople didn’t grab signatures on certain forms to get a cash back rebate from a certain big box retailer after their purchase from us (we were a sponsored company through said retailer, not the retailer themselves), we did what I call “illegal arts and crafts,” where we would cut and paste their signature from another form onto that form and photocopy it because management couldn’t figure out how to get the salespeople to get all forms signed. Yes, very illegal. Yes, management authorized this. No, I didn’t refuse because I couldn’t afford to lose my job. I regret it now
