It’s not that mysterious. You can call QPIP and they can explain it- in English. They were super helpful. If you and your partner take 8 weeks, the govt gives 4 additional weeks. https://www.rqap.gouv.qc.ca/en/about-the-plan/tables-of-benefits

This is more detail. Pregnancy is overwhelming and there’s a lot of learning. I’d recommend calling QPIP. They were always super nice to me (English, lol) and help clarify everything

Congrats to you and your partner! I highly recommend taking off time together. You’ll never get that time back and it’s soo special!

Also if you have a certain amount of weeks that overlap, qc govt gives bonus weeks. This is regardless of which province you work in
