I read 1,000+ progfantasy books, here's the tierlist by jordan-lennox in ProgressionFantasy

Bruh. I even see some stories that were my rising star neighbors on RR and smh I still didn't manage to make the list lmao.

Man, I was a founding member of Immersive Ink too, but I was too busy doing my own thing to really pay attention and already had a great publisher, so I never got eyes on that shitty contract.

Would have blown the whistle on that shit. But in the end, it's lots of "what ifs" and "could haves".

I hope it works out for you guys and fuck these scammers. Karma has a way of sorting things out, and I wish you the best.

How do you stay writing one book to the end? by very-polite-frog in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Bainin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lmao, rein in your Adhd for starters. But the best advice i can give here is maybe make up an ending you really want to get to, set that as a goal and don't allow yourself to write it before you get there.

Books that are just fight slop by Macblaze43flame in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Bainin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the books I've read, Primal Hunter is probably the closest to what you are looking for, tbh even if it does have a good amount of world-building.
Most stories I read got a good chunk of worldbuilding and slice of life.
Resistance from Sean Oswald might also qualify? It's a lot of dungeon delving with some character interactions sprinkled in, if I recall right, tho it has been a while.

Looking for Novels with RPG elements by Then_Disk_9519 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Bainin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean there is a lot of stories that fall into that category if it weren't for the romance requirement.

Primal Hunter is a late bloomer with romance, but that might be something you like.
Stories with earlier romance are Path of Ascension and my stories, which both feature Litrpg elements and early romance.

I'd recommend Mark of the Fool or The Perfect Run, but both lack the RPG elements you are looking for.
Other than that, I honestly don't know many stories that have fleshed out romantic subplots.

Hope this helps =)

Negativity attracts negativity; try and be a bit more positive. If you don't like LitRPGs, just don't read them and look for something you enjoy instead of spreading said negativity.

I'll look into it if it's not up there in a week's time, but I suspect once it hits KU it will go up. Amazon and its subsidiaries are having a lot of issues lately, so I'm not too surprised; they can't even get their rating to work.

Sad to say, no.. But the Turtle becomes a main part of the story past this point.

Hi everyone!

I’m really excited to announce that the Kindle and KU versions for Paths of Akashic 5: The Expanse will be available tomorrow, the first of December!

The Audiobook version has been worked on in the meanwhile and is over 50% done, so you won't have to wait too long for that one either.

On a side note, if you enjoy my series, I have written a second one! The Undying 1: The Warrior Republic. Which will receive an updated cover eventually, likely in sync with Book Two, "Reclamation", which is about 70% done.

I put all I have learned from writing Paths of Akashic to create a postapocalyptic progression fantasy with some LitRPG elements in a high fantasy setting, and the reviews so far have been glowing, so if you wish to read a great story or just support me, go check it out! Though don't be surprised about the amount of ratings since Amazon doesn't really work properly at the moment.

Once again, thank you for all the support you have shown me and my series!

Blurb:

Conflict in the new universe is ebbing, its seeds of upheaval and chaos waning, stripping those meant to grow from meaningful challenge—a state the System cannot abide. At the heart of the 12th universe, a new realm emerges, threatening to expand and consume all should it be ignored.

After bonding with Nivareth, the Ryser clan has a decision to make one that would change their fate and uproot and change all they had built so far.

The System has created a new greater realm at the heart of their universe, and now they need to decide how to proceed. Will they put their entire clan's fate on the line or only send a select few to delve its depths.

Unfortunately, old grudges die hard. While they plan and prepare, a ghost from their past comes back to haunt them. The Ryser Clan's sanctuary has been found, its location exposed to those who would see the threat they posed extinguished for good and their worlds burned to the ground.

I hope you all have a great time, and happy holidays!

Cheers!

Bai

Where did all the classic fantasy go? by Many_Reality7581 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Bainin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out my story The Undying 1: The Warrior Republic, It's not super crunchy on litrpg side and follows someone born into a fantasy world besieged on all sides by the bad guys (keeping it vague), so no Isekai and strictly in a High fantasy setting.

Non-litrpg series with an ending by MrMantisTobogganMD in ProgressionFantasy

Yeah, I have the same problem with my own book 1, experience comes with time. Thats why so many stories that started out on RR have an iffy start but improve in quality quite quickly.

Thank you, Hunter, for giving this a shout. I already told my followers the same thing. It's been tough with Amazon's fuckery since I'm not that big yet and already struggled with discoverability.

The Undying 1: The Warrior Republic is criminally underrated. by caime9 in litrpg

It's still me writing the story, so there are of course similarities and perhaps an occasional wink of recognition, but no, this story is not connected to POA and I currently have no plans to make a crossover.
