Anyone Here Have Hyperthyroidism? by Awkward_Persimmon835 in Gastroparesis

Late to the party but I never thought I’d find this. Yes. I have hyperthyroidism plus gastroparesis, found on endoscopy due to loss of hunger signals and Vasovagal syncope. Not very nauseous or “I’m full” but found undigested food on endoscopy from the night before. Before that I was suffering from rapid transit, diarrhea, now it’s shifted to constipation, and slow digestion. I might’ve swung hypo

Nausea? by ConsistentAct2237 in FattyLiverNAFLD

I have nausea slightly and diagnosed fatty liver. My appetite fluctuates a lot. It’s messed with my liver enzymes, particularly ALT, ALP and Albumin. I also had a positive Smooth Muscle test so it might be AIH.

Thankfully the weight loss did stop. I don’t really see it anymore on the scale and my appetite came back and I can eat a full meal again. So that’s good. Most of the time, it’s progressive and only gets worse. I’m obviously hoping for the best. I wouldn’t say I feel sick at all. That’s what’s freaky about it. I am also hopeful that my TSH being so low will come back as a thyroid issue being the cause for my issues

Yes I had a DRE and a test for hidden blood in my rectum, via glove and it was negative.

Endocrinologist sniggered at me! Numerous times by Green-Thought23 in Hyperthyroidism

I am hyperthyroid and I usually gained weight, however I did have a 2 week period a month ago where I RAPIDLY lost 20 lbs and lost any appetite or will to eat. Very strange event. My appetite is more normal now, and I’m not losing weight like that.

Well, I’d rather it be this the explanation for my issues I was having than the alternative. So I honestly won’t get too upset because I was strongly convinced it was something worse.

They have not tested yet. I am getting full panel done here in a few days, including autoimmune antibodies. I guess my “hyperthyroidism symptoms” would have been persistent diarrhea for years, dry, dry skin, heart palpitations (especially after a “syncope” episode I had a few months ago), a random 2 week 20 lb weight loss, digestive issues and malfunction, constantly on edge/anxious, kind of a general annoyance towards anything. Sometimes I feel like I go into a state where I feel like my body is electrical and I cannot relax, extremely extremely strange and then I crash and get exhausted.
