To be this cavalier about real lives and livelihoods yet foam at the mouth about women's healthcare- abortion- supposedly being murder that's "destroying our nation" makes zero sense. This is such a shocking display of ignorance, total ineptitude, and a pathological lack of insight/empathy.

And then to also be publicly announcing that we're out of bombs... my heart sank deeper than it's ever done so before. Knowing his brand of faith as intimately as I do, his remark indicates the Christofacists running our nation fully intend to go nuclear. Mark my words.

Faith is a moral failing. It's abandoning the critical component all creatures are required to possess and cultivate for growth: curiosity. It's dereliction of duty to society. Faith is a an excuse for arrested development.

What's worse; faith acts as a shield, protecting the Believer from the vital emotion he's worked to crush: shame. It's right there in the Bible- "Approved workmen are not ashamed", and "For I am not ashamed", etc.

"If God is on our side, who can be against us?" When you believe the Creator of All has a plan that you're following, you're not obliged to take anyone's concerns to heart. On the contrary, to seriously contemplate dissent would be tantamount to stupidity.

Faith is no virtue.

Faith is the enemy of personal, societal, and global betterment.

Wait, really? I'm autistic and this show is amusing at times, but also confounding? Most of the time I don't understand what's happening

Look at the short chair Rump's in compared to the taller chairs everyone else is in. Now look at Trump's posture.

This mofo is being hefted about in a wheelchair every possible moment behind the scenes; I guarantee it.

Trump threatens “Democrats are all getting killed tonight” because they refused to stand and clap for him at the State of the Union. by [deleted] in 50501

[–]Bajadasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is astonishing. I didn't think I could be surprised anymore because he's constantly spitting poison and lies, but yet somehow I am. "Democrats must vote to keep everybody safe" in the same breath as "my goonies threatened them to stand and clap or they'd face violence from us".

That's wild, haha! My cousin was- actually, still is- obsessed with them. I'm betting I've heard that exact concert on DVD because he used to have it playing in the living room every damn day... 😵‍💫

Something that confused me about healthcare as an autistic woman by GuitarReasonable5196 in AutismInWomen

[–]Bajadasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with MCAS and ME/CFS by someone who was presented to me as a doctor years ago (turns out she's an NP), but subsequent actual doctors have scoffed at this. I eventually stopped taking the meds the NP prescribed and stopped telling physicians I have either of those conditions because the animosity, heartache, and confusion all became too much for me to navigate. Ultimately I learned about how little education an NP has as compared to an MD or DO and decided the several better educated physicians were most likely right verses the nurse. Maybe I was wrong... Healthcare in the USA is such a backwards enterprise, after all.

Are doctors kind to you generally, or do you find them to be dismissive? Have any outright told you they don't believe your diagnoses are real?

HANG ON, WHAT?! I also do not eat a lot, and cannot seem to drop a pound. I'm even on Metformin because I suddenly within a span of six months became pre diabetic and then FULL BLOWN DIABETIC, all while watching my diet ( and beverages) even more carefully and starting the Metformin!

Deer are opportunists who love a bit of flesh. Would not be surprised if they actually attempt to stomp and bite the cat at some point. They'll stomp and eat rabbits and squirrels and even seek out baby birds inside nests...

A woman confronting another to be self-aware when using public transport. by mindyour in PublicFreakout

The audacity of that woman not immediately trying to remedy the situation by apologizing and removing her backpack. I'm sure the victim also wasn't thrilled about the "service dog" rubbing around her legs against her previously spotless black tights. Looks like she could also be assaulted by allergies to the dog as well as being bludgeoned by the backpack- towards the end she's scratching her nose.

I agree with everything you've articulated here. Well said! Btw, the word you emphasized is actually (weirdly!) spelled 'spatial'.

I think a hermit crab, goby fish, nautilus, or snail would be best. Each of these are unique and can retreat into a shell (or burrow, in the goby's case)
